I like to cook food that keeps me lean and heathy but I also like to cook food that makes my soul feel good. Yes I eat lean protein, salad, nuts fresh fruits and whole grains but I also look to lighten up my favorite comfort foods using healthy substitutions.

My favorite family cooking happens in the fall and over the holidays. I love fall baking and making sugar cookies with the kids.
My cooking triumphs
I have managed to make a "meatless" meat loaf that is all whole grain and the kids love it. I also made two beautiful loaves of Challah bread.
My cooking tragedies
Making pie dough is still a stretch for me as well as buttercream frosting. It was completely runny.
