Oven Roasted Parmesan Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2013
Loved it Bellepepper. All my daughter's favorites and she is a potato girl. I saw on another recipe (and it works) that if you blast the potatoes at 450 degrees for 20 mintues and then turn down stove to 350 degrees for the next 15 -20 minutes, you get a nice crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, roasted potato. I also spray my pans/oil my pans, dump the pototoes and whatever seasonings in the pan and toss the potatoes around it in it. Potatoes never stick, you never lose any of the seasonings and one less bowl to wash.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
My perfect baked potato: I poke holes and wrap potatoes and cook at 450 for 20 minutes and then microwave for 3 min and let rest. Tastes like a baked potato as opposed to a microwaved potato with half the cook time.

Chinese Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This was good. I cooked as traditional pot roast with potatoes, carrots, celery and garlic and onion. I upped the marinade ingredients to 1 1/2 times and used wet mustard, garlic cloves and celery instead of powder forms . Not quite chinese food but very tasty

Bekki's Mexican Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This is a great recipe as a starter recipe but it is recipe for empanadas and she is using egg roll wrappers which depending where you live may be easier to find. Sub out the velveeta for real cheddar cheese and it is very good. Get rid of cooking ground beef with oil and only use 1/2 pkge of taco mix or make your own.

Hunts® Bruschetta Chicken Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
This is better than one would think. I have made it this way but I prefer to make this with the diced tomatoes with green chiles and use Cheddar cheese. I sub Sazon for the basil and add extra garlic and onion, or salsa to it. If making it by the recipe, add a spoon of sugar or extra salt and pepper as Hunts tends to have a tinny taste.

Barbeque Chicken Pasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
pomplemousse: it was not the italian seasoning that made it taste weird--it was the biscuits. Grand biscuits taste nothing like phyllo dough spread with butter. Please re-try. I am not into cheddar with chicken so I used mozerella. Recipe was very tasty. I think any white cheese would work

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Very good. This is my usual recipe except I use cheddar cheesse, Grey Poupon mustard instead of dry mustard and use more bread crumbs. 3/4 cups toasted breadcrumbs and then I stir in 1/2 cup grated cheese for topping.

Chicken with Roasted Red Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Good quick recipe. It also works without marinating the chicken if you use thin sliced chicken breasts and monterrey jack, colby or cheddar cheese.

Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
I know this is a Dash recipe but potatoes need salt and pepper to taste good. Add the Dash to the oil, celery and onions. After mixing this with the scooped potato, add some diced pickle and pickle juice for consistency and this is very good. You could also add some bacon for the salt purpose. Recipe also needs some form of pepper -black, white, hot sauce, whatever. Recipe is very tasty with the salt and pepper additions ---kind of like a potato salad in a skin.

Bacon, Potato, and Egg Taco Ole

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This is really good. I make it all the time but I add salsa and garlic powder to eggs before beating them and skip the water and milk. I then cook the potatoes and dump eggs into skillet with potatoes and top with bacon and cheese and throw the entire egg concoction under the broiler and cook until it poofs and cheese is melted. It makes it more like a frittata but you get more egg this way

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This was really, really good. I have always thought balsamic vinegar was overrated...but I followed suggestions of browning the butter, a 3:1 ratio of balsamic and soy and making extra sauce. And it was fantastic. I baked mushrooms and peppers with the asparagus and I served it with pan fried chicken breasts and white rice.
