Spiced Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
Not the same old spices and flavors, but still not too far out. The house smelled wonderful and the roast disappeared. Definitely one of the better recipes I've tried. Make it just as written, no changes needed.

Hot Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
Made it as shown except scaled it down. Great sausage! It has a little zip but not too much, good flavor and has worked well in Italian recipes. Thanks!

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
Just made it and tasted it fresh. Yum! It's a winner even before the flavors meld. I might try the dressing on other things too. A great use for leftover ham.

Tanya's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I had doubts, but these are perfect, even the next day they're still soft. I agree.. decrease cream of tartar to 1 teaspoon and use another teaspoon of cinnamon and T of sugar.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
Would say this recipe is almost perfect! Soft inside and crisp outside, even after several days. I saw the other reviews and adjusted the cream of tartar...try just 1 tsp. And the cinnamon and sugar mix wasn't enough to coat the batch, increase it to 3T sugar and 3t cinnamon. They're almost gone already!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
The critical part of this recipe is the spices. Mix them up in larger amounts and store them in an empty spice jar. Add them to sour cream for dip, mayo or buttermilk for dressing. Very versatile and can be used to season baked chicken too. Cheaper, better and less salty than the packets of ranch dressing/dip mix. Thank you!

Corn Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
Just tried these and floated them on top of white chili. I cut the salt in half and added 2T sugar. Turned out great. Don't expect them to be light but a heavy, hearty weight.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Look no further. Followed the recipe and used Royal Icing. These are what sugar cookies should be. No changes needed.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
One of my favories now even though I'm not a gingerbread fan. I tried the recipe on a whim and am hooked! The best thing is that if you take them somewhere, they don't attract a lot of attention and you get to take them back home for yourself!

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
Even though I used bottled key lime juice, it was still awesome. Can't wait to use fresh key limes. I made a crust with cheap sugar cookies, butter and toasted coconut, chopped it all fine in the food processor and then pressed into the pie pans. Bake the shells for 10 minutes, add the filling and bake another 10 minutes. SO much better than graham crackers since it does not compete with the filling.

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Made these to the recipe. 25 minutes was not enough for large muffins so some batter was uncooked. I baked the 2nd batch 35 minutes and they were perfect. Great flavor and I liked the spice only in the topping which let the apple flavo r shine. Definitely a keeper.

Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
I made it as written and was not impressed. A bit greasy, too many bread crumbs, flavor passable but I wouldn't go back for 2nds.
