Molasses Cookies

Love this recipe! It is all about the timing -- underbake and they're sticky; overbake and they lose that wonderful chewy texture. I usually leave them in about a minute after the tops have cracked, then take them out. I leave them on the pan for a few more minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Sometimes, I like to add a little extra "spice" to these cookies -- black pepper and cardamom are my favorites.

Butter Cream Frosting II

this is a great frosting recipe. the frosting works well dyed pastels with food coloring. however, i used it to make 12 cupcakes, and i cut the recipe for frosting in half. it worked well, so i would say a full recipe easily frosts 24 cupcakes. :)

Simple White Cake

I made this with cupcakes, it is a really good recipe. I put 3 tbs. of sprinkles in the batter so the cupcakes would come out speckled. it worked well! i used another recipe i found on this site for frosting: i used buttercream frosting 2, i think thats what its called. it worked well!

Floating Island Punch

MMM, its very good, but one peice of advice: the cherries dont float, even the ones without pits. it is fine with me to scrape them off the bottom, but be careful, with the orange slices you might get a couple of seeds as well. very good recipe however. :)

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

WOW! This is the first time I have ever made bread before, and I loved this recipe! it was sooo easy! (hint: since others mentioned that it overflows in a 9x5 pan, and thats all i have, i made a recipe and a half and used that to fill 2 9x5 pans. it worked wonderfully!)
