Awesome! I had leftover snow crab meat and thought I'd try this. It's very easy to prepare and freezeable. Freeze in separate container..some for you on Friday nights and some to keep on hand for unexpected company. I am a very picky person when it comes to food and this recipe is a GREAT appetizer or snack!

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Growing up in eastern PA my mom used to make this after Easter and Christmas when we had ham. I make mine with canned green beans and potatoes, pepper, and a few capfuls of Apple Cider Vinegar and let it come to a boil on the stove and then simmer for 2-3 hours. The Apple Cider Vinegar gives it a nice little kick to it.

Baked Pineapple Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2003
I was looking for a new dish as I get soooo tired of the same ones everyone brings. This dish was a GREAT hit. Everyone loved it! As soon as we sat down..everyone was like "Who made the Pineapple Dish?" Hubby loved it too! It was VERY easy. Will make more often. Definitely try this one out!

Reuben Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2003
AWESOME, EASY & QUICK dish! I love reuben sandwiches and this is just like it but quicker & easier. Everyone's taste are different..so next time I may add more cheese (only used 1 1/4 c..didn't have enough), I'd add a little more bread and a tad more dressing. It was a little too dry for me only because I use a ton of mayo on reg. sandwiches. I would highly recommend this recipe even if you don't like saurkraut!

Broccoli Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
This is a great dish! I made mine a little differently. I used 3-4 bunches of fresh broccoli and cooked it. I used the 12oz cube of Velveeta, cubed and 36 Ritz crackers crushed and divided. Mixed the broccoli, cheese and half of the crushed crackers in a bowl & then melted butter & added to other 1/2 of crumbs and topped the casserole with it. Even people who don't like broccoli loved it, including my 9 yr old daughter! Will defintely make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
Made this last night. It was easy and quick. DH and DD(9) loved it. I used chicken broth to cover instead of water and used grands plain biscuits. I added them 60 mins prior to serving. Once you put them in DO NOT OPEN THE CROCKPOT until ready to serve. They come out fine that way. I cut them up into small pieces instead of quartering them. To kick this up a bit..next time I would add celerey and some carrots and maybe some type of spice to give it a more spicy flavor and I don't like spicy foods. It was a little bland, but otherwise really good!! Will make more often. It's worth trying.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
Made this last night. I used rump roast instead of the chuck roast. The only other thing I changed was: after shredding the meat..I added 1/2 bottle more of BBQ sauce. (I left original juices in crockpot too.) This made for a whole lot of sauce! I won't add it next t ime. I used Sweet Baby Rays Honey BBQ sauce. But I like sweeter sauce so may look for an alternative. It turned out REALLY good though. Nice and tender. It really does not need a lot of "tweaking," but everyone has their own tates. It was quick and simple, too! I'll just experiment w/ different sauces.

Mom's 'Sweet 'n' Sours' Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
Made this dish tonight using boneless pork ribs. It was tasty and even my 2 kids (11 and 3) loved it. My sauce didn't really thicken up for some reason. Maybe because I simmered for 20 mins. instead of 30-45? I added the juice from a can of pineapple chunks and used low sodium soy sauce. I followed the directions, but also put the ribs in a casserole dish, added the sauce, covered w/ alum. foil and slow baked in the oven for 1 hr at 350. Added the pineapple chunks with 15 mins. left to bake and they were god. I just added a little sauce on top of the ribs. I wanted to make sure the ribs we fully cooked. I'd defintely make it again though!

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This is a great recipe. I love the butter and brown suagr flavor, but I cook mine differently. I use the same amount and same ingredients, but I cut the acorn squash in half, place flesh side up and place into a casserole dish or a roasting pan with a little water. I put the butter and brown sugar in the middle before I cook it. Then I cook in a 350 degree oven for 45-60 mins. Comes out perfect every time. If the squah is a little unstable, I cut the bottom just a little to make it stand up better. I'll do about 2 squash at a time (4 servings).

Nut Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
Followed the directions to a "T" but it must not be the recipe I was looking for. While this is OK I would recommend adding honey and maybe something else to the nut filling to make it moist like kolaches. The outside did get browned either.

Homemade Marshmallows I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I was looking for a homemade marshmallow recipe. I got one out of my newspaper and got one of Martha stewarts. I was looking on here for one and came across this. The ingredients didn't seem right. After checking the other recipes..they only call for 2 1/2 Tbsp. of unf. gelatin and 1 cup of lt. corn syrup..plus pure vanilla extract. That could be why these are turning out.
