Crusty French Rolls

These are really good. Will use this recipe again. Only complaints with recipe as is is that my rolls were cooked in 15 minutes and if you put more egg wash on them after 15 min (and then cook another 10 min) you end up with bits of cooked egg white on top as well as burnt rolls.

Spicy Collard Greens

I used a 16oz bag of frozen turnip greens in place of the bunch of collards. The other change I made was to add 2 packets of splenda to try and counteract the bitterness frozen greens tend to have. Really really yummy. Will use this for the rest of the greens in my freezer!

Very Easy Risotto

Even though I was very tempted to try out everyone's suggestions I made this as is and it's better than I expected. It's creamier than I expected too, but not as creamy as I would have liked. I will definately make this again, but try some of the alterations.

Preety's Chickpea Salad

Fast, easy, cheap and delicious! I admit I had my doubts. With so few ingredients, but it was GREAT!! I couldn't find my cider vinegar so I used tarragon vinegar. I'm sure even white would work. I also didn't have any lemon to garnish it so i used parsley which also gave it another degree of color. This is going to be a staple recipe for me!!

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Having it for lunch right now! This is such a great change from steamed zucchini and zucchini bread! Thanks so much! Going to test it out on my husband later this week. I think I'll throw in some chicken strips, serve it over rice and call it dinner.

Easy Southern Biscuits

I don't have self-rising flour so I threw in some baking soda and baking powder. (a little too much I think) That's the only change I made and these are fabulous!! I was afraid with the sugar they wouldn't work so well for biscuits and gravy but these are superb and is the first recipe for biscuits that I didn't screw up on! Yay!! Thank you Thank you!

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

I left out the celery salt because Hebrew National franks are salty enough and I only had hamburger buns, but this was still delicious! Great flavors all together adding more veggies to a hot dog! Definately no ketchup needed!

Thai Curry Soup

I was hoping the people who said these was bland were wrong and those who said it was like Noodles & Co were right. Unfortunately, this was disappointingly bland, and just tasted like liquid with a hint of lime. The good thing about that is my 4 yr old won't complain it's spicy. I'll be adding a lot of sriracha to it so it tastes like something.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

SO GOOD!! I did change it to have half and half instead of the cream because it's what I had and it is WONDERFUL! Only thing differnt with mine is we're moving so our blender is packed so I used the whisk to break up the potato so it'd be thicker. This is going in my recipes!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

I was very disappointed with this recipe!! I wish everyone had rated it by the actual recipe rather than their own additions. The recipe as-is is very bland. If you choose to use this recipe, be sure to follow the changes people have made, it won't make YOUR review a true review of the recipe though. I may make this again with everyone's suggestions.

The first bite, I thought it was bland. But it tasted better and better every bite. My 2 year old and I had this for lunch today on a bed of red leaf lettuce. She thought it was great!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Oh my goodness. This is heaven!! I wasn't going to review because I made two changes. But this smelt so good I just had to try it before it was even cool, and it is the best thing ever. The changes I made was to add 1/4 tsp salt and instead of 1 tsp vanilla I added 2. It is SO good and I am so glad I made it for Christmas to take to my in-laws!! Maybe I'll finally impress them with something!

Chicken Enchiladas V

I really wanted to give this more stars. It is a recipe I WILL use again, but it definately needs more of the sauce. It didn't say to grease the pan so I didn't and the bottoms of the tortillas burnt to the bottom of the pan. I'd double the sauce, put more sauce in the chicken mixture, and more under and on top. So it was minus one star for burning to the pan. And one for a lack of sauce which made the tortillas crispy. But I still recommend this recipe!

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

My bread machine always burns it so I set in on the dough cycle, then put shaped dough in a greased loaf pan let rise an hour (I heat my oven to 200F, turn it off let it sit 10 min then put the bread in. Works great for rising in a cold house). Then I cooked it at 350F for 30 min. I think our oven cooks hot so I will reduce the temperature next time. It's really good bread. Sweet and nutty, not too heavy which is a wonder since it's homemade whole wheat. SO MUCH BETTER THAN STORE BOUGHT!! And SO easy!

Good. I'd rate this 4 but it's my own fault for not having green onions or celery seed. But without those two items, it is worth a 4 so you just know it's going to be even better with those other ingredients. I think next time I will do half the dressing though.
