Thai Curry Soup

I was hoping the people who said these was bland were wrong and those who said it was like Noodles & Co were right. Unfortunately, this was disappointingly bland, and just tasted like liquid with a hint of lime. The good thing about that is my 4 yr old won't complain it's spicy. I'll be adding a lot of sriracha to it so it tastes like something.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Having it for lunch right now! This is such a great change from steamed zucchini and zucchini bread! Thanks so much! Going to test it out on my husband later this week. I think I'll throw in some chicken strips, serve it over rice and call it dinner.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

SO GOOD!! I did change it to have half and half instead of the cream because it's what I had and it is WONDERFUL! Only thing differnt with mine is we're moving so our blender is packed so I used the whisk to break up the potato so it'd be thicker. This is going in my recipes!

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Crusty French Rolls

These are really good. Will use this recipe again. Only complaints with recipe as is is that my rolls were cooked in 15 minutes and if you put more egg wash on them after 15 min (and then cook another 10 min) you end up with bits of cooked egg white on top as well as burnt rolls.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

I was very disappointed with this recipe!! I wish everyone had rated it by the actual recipe rather than their own additions. The recipe as-is is very bland. If you choose to use this recipe, be sure to follow the changes people have made, it won't make YOUR review a true review of the recipe though. I may make this again with everyone's suggestions.

Chickpea Salad

Bread Machine Rolls

These turned out great! Great flavor and texture. I made some large for hamburger buns and they're perfect! Who ever had trouble using them as buns must not have let them rise enough or something. They are also delicious just plain, they leave your mouth wanting more! Update: they do not store well though. Even in a ziplock bag with all the air pressed out, they were already starting to get stale the next morning.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I was really surprised and disappointed that this recipe has so many high reviews. The part of the meatloaf not touching the ketchup and sugar was absolutely dry and bland. I took it out of the oven before the hour was up because it was looking so dry. The milk did nothing for flavor. I did dare eat two slices of this, and the second one I coated with worchestershire sauce which helped immensely. So I'll make this again but will add plenty of worchestershire sauce and perhaps canned tomatoes instead of the milk. The brown sugar with the ketchup IS delicious on it.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Oh my goodness. This is heaven!! I wasn't going to review because I made two changes. But this smelt so good I just had to try it before it was even cool, and it is the best thing ever. The changes I made was to add 1/4 tsp salt and instead of 1 tsp vanilla I added 2. It is SO good and I am so glad I made it for Christmas to take to my in-laws!! Maybe I'll finally impress them with something!

Easy Southern Biscuits

I don't have self-rising flour so I threw in some baking soda and baking powder. (a little too much I think) That's the only change I made and these are fabulous!! I was afraid with the sugar they wouldn't work so well for biscuits and gravy but these are superb and is the first recipe for biscuits that I didn't screw up on! Yay!! Thank you Thank you!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

I admit I was a little worried about them when I saw how loose the dough was after mixing everything. It was definately not a consistancy that would work for rolling in sugar, so I just did them as drop cookies from a tablespoon (I don't have the patience for chilling dough). They came out perfect and delicious! I will make a change next time to at least double the clove, I like my ginger cookies with a bit more bite.

Spicy Collard Greens

I used a 16oz bag of frozen turnip greens in place of the bunch of collards. The other change I made was to add 2 packets of splenda to try and counteract the bitterness frozen greens tend to have. Really really yummy. Will use this for the rest of the greens in my freezer!
