I love baking and making deserts for my family. For about 12yrs now I have been eating a gluten and egg free diet. I try to keep dairy out to, but that is harder to do. My mother and I have come up with a ton of recipes that fit our allergies and they are so good that even people who don't eat this way don't even notice. I am about to become a mother for the first time and am trying to learn more about cooking for kids with food allergies . I need to expand my cooking options so that I have things to make that kids like. I take a lot of wheat recipes and have to make adjustments to fit my diet and that can be tricky at times, but I have found that I usually can make most things turn out.
My favorite things to cook
Wheat free, pizza, mint chocolate chip cookies, spice cake, coconut strawberry cake. Blue corn breaded chicken with rosemary red potato's. I love BBQ, you can do breakfast, lunch and dinner on it in the summer.
My favorite family cooking traditions
German Chocolate cake, beef potato pasty, German potato salad hot, something new my husband makes is chicken breast with pear and onions baked.
