Sorry but this is not cooking, this is assembling. Not a recipe.

German Spaetzle Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Pretty yummy. Be careful not to make the dumplings too big/thick or they will be too chewy and heavy. That was my only mistake with this recipe.

Green Tea Mint Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2010
Honestly, I don't know how anybody made these! I followed the recipe exactly and had a bowl of something that resembled cracker crumbs. Impossible to roll out into a dough form. What a bummer.

Luscious Four-Layer Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
I make this every Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie since I discovered this recipe several years ago. I was surprised to find something my family and I would love in the free Kraft recipe booklet that comes in the mail (I usually toss it out with the junk mail) but this really is a wonderful cake.

Tomato and Garlic Bread Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Is it meant to be a bread soup flavored with tomato and garlic? Or a tomato soup with garlic bread? Not that adding .5 teaspoons of garlic adds garlic flavor anyway.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
I made this for my son's birthday for the 2nd year in a row yesterday. I also made cupcakes for his birthday with it as well. I have been making this cake for years and I realized why - it's the same one I got of the Hershey's cocoa powder box years ago! This is a GREAT no-fail recipe. The only modification I make to this recipe is substituting strong coffee for the water. It always comes out perfect.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
The flavor of this frosting was delicious. However, it was difficult to spread and even more difficult to pipe. I tried adding more milk but the frosting "broke" into a greasy mess with a crumbly texture. I tried adding more sugar and peanut butter to fix it but it didn't work. How disappointing!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I have never made pizza dough that was this quick and easy before! I literally had dough in under 5 minutes. No kneading, no waiting for dough to rise. I tossed everything in my stand mixer using the dough hook and a few minutes later I had great pizza dough. Thank you for sharing this!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
Delicious! I make up a jumbo batch of these and then freeze the pancakes individually in plastic baggies. My son can "make" his own pancakes in the morning before school by throwing one of the frozen cakes in the micro for about a minute. They hold up and taste great even after having been frozen for several days.

Potato Leek Soup III

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I like to garnish this soup with fresh chives. I also use duck stock instead of chicken whenever I have it for a richer flavor.

Cinnamon Mini-Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
These are so easy and delicious! I added some cinnamon to the batter like others here suggested. I also added 1/4 cup of oatmeal and 1/4 sour cream to give it an "oatmeal cookie" flavor. They tasted very good but were a little dry, maybe because of the oatmeal. The second time I made them the same way as the first but added 1 green apple diced very small. This added a great flavor and made them so moist. I also did what some of the others here did and dipped the top of the muffins first in melted butter and then in cinnamon sugar. Delicious! I can't keep a batch in the house for longer than a day, they just keep disappearing! lol

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
These were good, my family loved them. However, I thought the sausage overpowered the jalapeno. Next time I'm going to substitute the sausage for some crumbled bacon.

Broccoli and Tomato Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
This was really tasty. I added a splash of balsalmic to the tomato mixture while heating and some sliced red bell pepper to the broccoli mixture. Also substituted a pinch of sugar for the maple syrup (maple syrup really did not sound good in this.) Everyone loved it. It's great as a light main course.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
The meat was great, but the dipping sauce was bland. I took the advice of another rater here and added some onion soup mix and a splash of soy sauce. Much better that way.

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
Pros: the kids ate it up and it was super-easy and quick to make. Cons: personally I thought it was just "ok". If you are willing to spend a little time on it, you can make a much tastier mac & cheese. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to feed kids in a hurry when short on time.

Shrimp and Andouille Sausage with Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
This was a great recipe! Could have used a lot more mushrooms, though in my opinion. The mushrooms were so good, maybe because I splashed wine into the pan continiously while cooking them and they soaked up the flavor nicely. I used I added a touch of cayenne pepper to spice it up and grated fresh parmesan on top before serving, it was a big hit.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
This is a fantastic basic recipe for meatloaf. You can tweak it a million different ways and it always comes out great. I like to add some chopped green onions, Sriracha and a few cloves of minced garlic. One warning though - the recipe as-is borders on being too salty because of the onion soup mix. (I find that adding 3/4 of the package is perfect.) If you decide to add anything such as worcestershire or soy sauce to the mix just be mindful of the salt content and adjust ingredients accordingly.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
This is great. Cut out the dijon, however, and instead add a dash of ground mustard. I like a tiny dash of cayenne in it as well, it seems to "wake up" the flavor of the cheddar.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
Great, easy go-to chili recipe. The only changes I made to this were to add a can of chili beans, a few tbls of balsalmic vinegar and I used crushed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. Excellent!
