Onion Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I loved this! I cooked the onions longer than the recipe called for, almost starting to carmelize. It had an addicting taste. Hubby didn't love it but I thought it rocked and am giving it five-stars anyway.

Cake with Buttercream Decorating Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
The frosting was one of the better ones I've tried. Very easy. I wanted mine to be stiff so I did not use all the milk the recipe called for. Very sweet but a big hit with the kids!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I looked this up after my friend served it at a party. She made it with white wine vinegar and golden raisins, I tried it with red wine vinegar and red grapes because that is what I had on hand. Great both ways!

Herbed New Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
SOOOOO good! I made these exactly, just tripled the recipe. I could have eaten the whole amount myself but my guests were glad I didn't. I only boil the potatoes for about 10 minutes and don't bother with the lemon juice. Such a great side!!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Fantastic. Better than any other I've had. The only change I made was to do half white/half brown sugar--perfect sweetness. I made three chicken breasts--if you make more than that, double the sauce. UPDATE--the teriyaki sauce is so darn good we also use it for stir-fry--brown rice and whatever vegetables we have on hand. EXCELLENT RECIPE!!!

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
I would give this a 4.5. Interesting, easy change for pork chops. Definitely don't skip the feta--it balances the tomatoes/onions perfectly.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
I thought this was great and ridiculously easy! I agree with those who said to keep one can of beans whole--I would have liked it a bit heartier. Next time I may make a few additions--possibly tomatoes, cilantro, cheese--but that would just be for a change--it is delicious as-is.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
These were a big hit with my whole family. I let them rise for an hour before putting them in the oven. Big and fluffy. Makes a lot!

Blueberry Breakfast Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Simple, delicious and MUCH better than canned! I doubled the cornstarch because I made it for the top of a cheesecake and wanted it to be more set.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
Absolutely OUTSTANDING! I did not change a thing--it is perfect as it. I basted it several times during cooking to get the most out of that fantastic glaze. Will make again and again.

I have tried many similar recipes and think this one is my absolute favorite. VERY addictive flavor! I followed the recipe exactly and it was a big hit. Served with Tostitos Scoops.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
Loved it! I followed the recipe exactly other than using zucchini instead of yellow. It looked really watery before cooking but came out of the oven perfect. Easy and GOOD!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
A huge hit at Easter Brunch. The only change I made was increase salt by 1/2 t. I did not have bread flour, just all-purpose, and it was still wonderful. Set machine on 1.5 lbs. size loaf. Will definitely make again soon.
