Egg Salad Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
Excellent! I used real purple onion instead of flakes, added finely chopped celery (I like it a little crunch to my egg salad!) and then I served it on a bagel dressed with a sliced tomato. Loved it!

Lemon Barbeque Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
It was good but better the next day as a sandwich on pumpernickel bread. Next time, I would cut way back on the cloves. The cloves were overpowering. I made them into "balls" in a muffin pan which made for a nice size for my young daughters. The lemon slices on top were really worthless..they didn't add any flavor.

Halibut Weaver

This was way too cheesy...and, I'm a cheese lover. I should have finished with broiling it...it was way too mushy. The fish was literally lost in all the goopy cheese.

Very easy and it tasted awesome. I only added mushrooms, everything else was perfect. I served it with roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Shrimp Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
It was okay...the chipotle sauce was great...I was expecting the shrimp to have more flavor but your flavor comes from all the parts to your burrito: rice, beans, chipotle sauce. Nice break from chicken. Good but not amazing.

A Southern Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
It was such an interesting mix of ingredients, I had to try it. I didn't have steak sauce on hand and I used chicken breasts that I cut into "tenders". Kids & hubby loved it. Will definitely try again.

Pleasant Pork Chops

I followed this recipe exactly to the letter and my pork chops were overdone...they should have been more tender. next time, I will not cook them for an hour. otherwise the taste was yummy and my husband licked his plate!

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I'm not usually a fan of baked chicken that has breading (as opposed to frying) but this was excellent. I think maybe the worchestire is the secret. I cut chicken breasts into strips and make chicken tenders with a big salad and my family loves it. and believe it or not, but this chicken tastes even better cold the next day...yummy leftovers! thanks for the great recipe!

Bolognese Stuffed Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
This recipe was awesome!! It tasted like something served in a fancy restaurant! I only changed 2 things as others mentioned. I sauteed the carrot and celery in 3 large cloves garlic (we love garlic) and I sprinkled the panko bread crumbs on top before baking....oh, and I was a little generous with the red pepper flakes. My family loved it. I can't wait to make this recipe for other people. And, lastly, it was really easy to make and didn't make a big mess with lots of dirty pots and pans. thanks for the great recipe!!

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
Incredible! This tasted more like lasagna than traditional ziti. I followed the advice of others...after cooking the ziti, I mixed with sour cream, ricotta, and jar of spaghetti sauce (a very high end brand from Sprouts) and then cooked 1 lb. of Laura's lean beef, and 1/2 lb. of italian sausage, with whole onion and garlic. Drained the grease and then added the 2nd jar of spaghetti sauce. Layered 2-9x13 glass dish with ziti mixture, meat mixture, fresh shredded provolone, then fresh shredded mozzarella, then layer of pepperoni, then repeat ziti, meat, and cheese layers again and top with fresh chopped basil and fresh parigiano. This is way better than most expensive italian restaurants. fantastic! thanks for the recipe and everyone's input!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Very good recipe...it made lots and lots. Next time I might cut down on the pasta...also, I added lots of veggies (julienne carrots, celery, green and yellow peppers, yellow cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, green onion, scallions). Also, it needs a little salt added. Will definitely prepare again.

Sweet Potatoes 'n' Pears

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
Excellent!!! I've told everyone about this recipe. So easy and fabulous. I used fresh pears and one of them wasn't quite ripe enough and I couldn't get it soft enough to mix so next time I'll try the canned pears or make sure that the fresh pears are really ripe. Fabulous recipe!

KJ's Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
It was pretty good...I changed a few things. I cut the chicken into strips and sauteed with garlic and scallions first then set aside and prepared the "gravy" before adding the chicken back in. I didn't have any artichokes handy so I added black olives for a little flair. I served alongside broccoli and my family loved it. Next time, I'll add a little more onion.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
Loved it! I took someone else's advice...I sauteed onions and garlic first and tripled my cream/taragon/dijon for a great gravy. I served over egg noodles with the "gravy" and steamed broccoli. My husband usually hates anything close to french food and he really liked it...my 3 and 5 year old liked it, too. will definitely prepare again!
