About this Cook
My name is Tia. I am 24 years old. I live in Gresham, Oregon with my boyfriend and our 7 month old daughter.
My favorite things to cook
I am really new at the whole cooking thing. But I have discovered that I really like cooking and that it is a lot of fun. I would like to learn to make all sorts of stuff. I want to try all sorts of new things. :) I really love using my slow cooker it makes my life so much easier!! :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making tacos, french toast, and sloppy joes. I think that those are the most traditional dishes. But I am really starting to branch out.
My cooking triumphs
Well, tonite I made a lasagna and it wasn't stofers. That is a triumph for me. I never really thought that I would make my own lasagna. I've always just bought them. I made a pot roast. I never even really knew what a pot roast was. :)
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm....well, there have been a few. I am notorious for burning things (only slightly burnt though, still edible).

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork
My family enjoyed it, but it was a little too sweet for me. I will probably make it again because it is so extremely simple and my fam did enjoy it.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I
Definitely good!! I added some green beans to the cream of chicken soup mix. It was tasty!! Next time I think that I would add some onion for a little extra flavor.

Slow Cooker Lasagna
I thought that it was very good. The only things that I did differently is I added a little basil and sage and a can of spaghetti sauce. It turned out GREAT! I will definately be making this again. Next time though I want to try added some stewed tomatoes also. And I just served it with garlic bread. Yum!
