Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

marinated about 20 hours. olive oil got clumpy in spots so left that part out when I poured marinade into baking dish. Added a tablespoon of minced garlic and a quarter of an onion, sliced. turned out well, I'd make it again. just not too often because the balsamic IS strong.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

that was a winner. followed directions exactly, though did cut it down for two people. needed 33-35 min in the oven but was cooked just wonderfully. too much breading mixture, though. would think about making less.

instead of the two-cheese-blend, I used Velveeta like some other users. I also used homemade chili instead of canned, but otherwise kept the recipe the same. We loved it! In the future, we'd add more hot sauce.

Meatball Sandwich

I only made the meatballs to go in spaghetti, so this doesn't have to do with the sandwich part. My husband and I found the meatballs boring and unflavorful. wouldn't make again.

Pumpkin Custard Pie

I loved it. I thought it was a great spin on pumpkin pie, but I'd add more spices next time. The pumpkin-pie-lovers at the table weren't as big on it... it was too "light" for them to get their traditional fix. I think it would make a great parfait as well.

Creme de Menthe Bars

these went over fantastically! I made the brownies the night before to cut prep time on Thanksgiving, then added the two layers of topping the next day. I suggest you refrigerate them again after the chocolate layer because they're difficult to cut unless they're fairly hard.

Carrots in Dill Butter

I used baby carrots instead of cutting up big ones. I cooked them for 30-35 minutes but the liquid was all still there and I had to drain them. Everyone thought that they were cooked just right but the flavor wasn't there. wouldn't make again.

Baked Ziti I

halved the recipe, put it in an 8"x8", and used some extra parmesan. plus, rigatoni instead of ziti because that's what I had. otherwise, followed exactly. It was a little liquidy but otherwise delicious. maybe I'd drain the beef and onions before adding the sauce next time?

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

I halved the recipe, used thighs instead of breasts, and provolone instead of swiss (what I had on-hand!). I wouldn't use provolone again but the rest of the recipe turned out great, especially the sauce! I used chardonnay as the wine.

Tilapia Scampi

I started by halving the recipe but only used 1/4 c butter, as per other reviewers. Also went with 30 minutes at 350 and didn't flip the fish, though I did baste after 20 minutes. Skipped the parsley but did put on some paprika before cooking. also used minced garlic instead of halved. turned out great, it's a keeper. will use wine in the broth next time.

Pepperoni Dip I

this was okay but nothing spectacular. Next time I'll use onion powder instead of onions, take out the green pepper, cut the pizza sauce in half, and double the pepperoni. also, as a point of interest, it took 10 minutes for the mozzarella to melt.

Donut Muffins

I got 20 out of one batch and 19 out of another, and I have the standard Wilton mini-muffin pan. I thought that they were good, and the dipping mixture was just the right amount for one batch. 15 minutes was a bit long for me, though, and I'd recommend 13 minutes or so. taking a star away just because I thought they were a bit sweet, though everyone else liked them.

this review is for the chocolate cake layers only, as I did something different with the cherries and whipped cream. I thought that they turned out a little dry - and I only baked them for 20 minutes.
