About this Cook
Married in October 2007 to my high school/college sweetheart-currently working on my MBA and working full time on an Army Base--I have two Boxers that are rotten--I'm a drinking Southern Baptist, although not too sure how that works--I change my hair monthly.
My favorite things to cook
Semi-homeade type items. PORK!! Apples. Homeade Pizza. Mashed Potatoes. Green Bean Casserole.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew-up in an extremly health conscious family so I really don't remember my mom giving me any family secrets in the kitchen. We also ate out a lot, and really, I only remember my mom cooking lasagna, spaghetti pie, and marinated italian dressing chicken. Pretty standard items. When I went off to school, I decided to start experimenting.
My cooking triumphs
I make the BEST green bean casserole known to anyone in my family--even my 90 year old grandmother (who has the best fried pies). My husband told me my mashed potatoes are better than his mom's (yes!!)
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make maccaroni and cheese w/o cooking the maccaroni first (it was supposed to be a quick bake thing)--it was a HUGE flop!

Buffalo Chicken Dip
I did not care for this recipe. I think something went wrong with the hot cream cheese; there was just SO much of it. This will not be a repeat.

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
I made these with Red Velvet Cake Mix and they're really good.
