Original Irish Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Didn't change a thing for the first go at this recipe. It is very good! But I had better write this review while I still can because... Yes, as some of the other reviews state, this makes a very strong Irish Cream. I would probably cut back to 1c of wiskey next time. But very good. I also like that there are no eggs in this recipe. Our traditional Holiday Irish Cream recipe, from my mother-in-law, called for 3 eggs. I know there is alcohole in there... but I am still hesitant re raw egg.

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

Tried this dip twice. Unfortunately, found the dip too bland. Added green onion, more garlic, ... Liked it but not a real winner at our book club!

Recipe is very bland if made as written. I have tried it twice adding green onions diced and more garlic. Still needs something....

Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
This was a great new chicken dish for our house. I made it with lentils because I didn't have the garbanzo beans but it was fine. Easy to make and go on a work day. Lots of flavour.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
These look and taste great and are so easy! I do them for my children's school class. As we are a "nut free" school, I make candy fingernails with a basic sugar, corn syrup recipie. They look creepy and so real. Add extra "gore" for older kids by dipping the other end in red icing. Happy Halloween!

This recipe worked out really well in my bread machine. I like to add a little spice with 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of ginger and pinch of nutmeg and cloves. Great recipe!

Good basic recipe. Have to admit that it was a jumping off point for our house. Add peanut butter, double or triple for more sauce etc. But was a great starter.
