Herbed Potato Soup

Amazing! An easy recipe that can't really be messed up. As a scatter brained new mom, I tend to forget ingredients, or get started thinking I have everything. I added some chopped ham leftover from Easter. My husband really loved this one! And the leftovers just keep getting better.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

I saw that others had successfully used butter - it's all I had so I went for it. They ended up pretty spread out and flat. The next batch I added an extra half a cup of flour to compensate - perfect! One day I'll have shortening and make these right.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Wow, used the advice to press cheese into the crust to create an moisture barrier and save the bottom crust. This was my first successful quiche! Love it!

Crab Snacks

Super easy and delicious. Used whole wheat bagels, real cheese and a little less mayo to make the crab flavor a little more potent. The family loved these!

Lighter Banana Muffins

Not bad, but came out a little dry. Next time I will add apple sauce like other reviews suggest. I found myself warming these up and adding a little butter (MELT IN YOUR MOUTH YUMMY) but it completely ruined the whole point of the butter free recipe!

Amaretto Cake

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Made it to take the the in-laws and they couldn't stop whittling away at this. I punched a bazillion holes in the bottom for the initial icing, then after it was cooled made a little more to drizzle on top. It looked great and tasted AMAZING!!

Macaroni and Cheese Bake

I wasn't in love with this. I did stray a little - I substituted one of the cream of chicken soups for a cheddar cheese soup and used shredded cheese in stead of processed since it's what I had. It just wasn't what I was hoping... Not all that cheesy.

Easy Meatloaf

My husband was so excited about this meatloaf that he told his mom about it - that's saying a lot. I doubled the sauce on top like the reviews suggested - however, I didn't measure the second batch and it was pretty sweet (more brown sugar, no more mustard, and not as much ketchup) but that was part of why he liked it so much, apparently. Didn't have onions, but must have them next time!

Strawberry Pineapple Bread

This was excellent! I had too many strawberries and wanted to use them while they were still good. Fresh strawberries, added a banana, and the rest of the recipe as is. I want to make it again using applesauce and other calorie cutting substitutes - this is a recipe you can definitely play with.

Cappuccino Mix

This was pretty good. I made a huge batch to pass out as Christmas gifts but I wasn't really amazed by the result per the recipe. It's a basic recipe that works, but didn't blow me away. I was hoping for a little more richness in the flavor so I experimented with extra ingredients. Definitely play with it!

Chocolate Covered Cherries II

I would give this way more stars than five if I could. I tried one batch with the cherries soaked in rum. They were a little messier to put together but they got big smiles from the grandpas.

Chilled Salmon With Summer Tomato Salsa

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Amazing! I love these muffins, and the reviews were very helpful. Everyone who has tried them has asked for the "secret" recipe! Healthy - and actually filling. It's also been fun altering them, you really can't mess them up (and I can mess up anything). Thanks for the great recipe!

Irish Tea Cake

This is an awesome cake - plain with vanilla ice cream is how we tried it out, but I'm looking forward to drown it in Irish cream! I actually replaced baking powder with baking soda, purely by mistake, and it still survived the roommate review board! (That was when it was drowned in ice cream - I don't advise the soda!) I hope to make it the right way next time...
