Best Ziti Ever
The basic recipe is good but I kicked it up a bit. For the sausage mixture I used 1/2 lb sweet sausage, 1/2 link hot sausage, 1/2 lb mixed beef,veal & pork, 1 lge onion chopped, 2 cloves garlic, sliced mushrooms and seasonings.
To the Ricotta I added 1 egg more garlic and Italian seasoning.
There is also no need to heat the marinara before baking if you buy a good one.
Total: 2 pots, 1 bowl, cutting board, knife and 2 spoons.
Results: excellent & easy
