Green Beans Amandine

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
Delicious, fast, easy! I used fresh green beans and the only change I made was to steam instead of boil them.

Green Bean Sesame Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
Super easy!!! and delicious! took this to a family party and everyone loved it. Definitely not too spicy, even my aunt who is scared of salsa ate some and liked it. My uncle liked the sauce so much he dipped bread in what was left in the bowl when the beans were gone. I think I'm going to try it with asparagus tomorrow. Thanks for sharing

Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
Delicious! I used fettuccine noodles because we don't really like egg noodles. I added a little green onions and about 1 1/2 lbs of asparagus steamed and frozen raw shrimp.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
YES! I found some Mahi Mahi down in the bottom of the freezer that was starting to get freezer burn so I was looking for something that would have a good (little bit strong) flavor. This was super! I only had 3 fillets and the amount of glaze was perfect. It was so good I ate 2 of them for my lunch.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
This was so easy and tasted great. I ran out of cocoa so I only put in about 3 tablespoons and that was perfect for me (a person who doesn't care for chocolate much) My husband (a chocolate lover) likes it but of course would have liked a little more chocolate. I, too, used reg milk and only needed about 5 tablespoons to make it a soft spreading consistency.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
WOW! The search for great cornbread is over. My Husband said it's the best cornbread he's ever had. This cornbread has excellent flavor, texture and was nice and moist. I followed the recipe except I added a little honey (just drizzled over the top and then stirred it in a bit) and I did use extra large eggs. I cooked the cornbread in a round stoneware pan. Thanks for sharing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
super! I did add some milk and used sharp white cheddar (that's what I had) and zapped the chopped garlic in the microwave with about 1/2 t olive oil before adding it to the potatoes since I prefer my garlic cooked. Great flavor. Thanks

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
My daughter says "It was the most fantastic dinner I've ever had for my birthday." I only used one egg and put only part of the bread crumb mixture in a a bag to coat the chicken and had some of it left for a quick lunch another day. Thanks for an easy and delicious recipe.

Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
Delicious! I made two batches, one with fresh ground hard white wheat and the other with fresh ground hard red wheat. We wanted to see which wheat made better bread. Both were delicious! I used white bread flour and added 1 T dough enhancer (available at food storage or baking supply stores)

Chicken Tetrazzini for a Crowd

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
This was great and pretty easy. Since my husband thinks that spaghetti noodles are only for spaghetti I decided to use rotini noodles instead. It worked great but I still like it better with spag. I also added a little onion and garlic and had no pimentos.

Rachel's Cream Cheese Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This was delicious! We made a few changes; we increased this to 10 servings but still used one 8 oz. container berries-n-cream cheese, strawberries are not in season so the ones at the store were disgusting so we used kiwi instead, and we took other's advice and used nuts (glazed pecans) instead of the pretzels. Very yummy!

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
Although I prefer the chewier crust my daughter made this since it was faster than the others. It was great and fast! My daughter said it was the perfect crust because it was lighter and softer than the other crusts.

Rich and Creamy Roasted Eggplant Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2013
Delicious!! I used water and chicken base instead of the broth. No Goat cheese at the store I went to so I topped with Panela. One of those times when I'm very glad my husband hates veggies :) I don't have to share.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2006
I've made this several times and it quickly disappears at our family parties (I just realized I didn't rate it yet). We like it best with fresh chicken, just cook a couple of skinless boneless chicken breasts in the microwave and chop up. It's also great with canned chicken and is my daughter's favorite!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I made these for my students and most of them liked them (when I made regular molassas gingerbread cookies most of the kids wouldn't eat them). My teenage daughter and my husband loved the dough so much that I had to kick the out of the kitchen so that I would have enough cookies for my class. I do think that I made them too big or too thick because I only got about 2 1/2 dozen out of a double batch. I just want to add to my review. I have made these for my Kindergarten class for several years and they always love them. Though they are a little different than REAL Gingerbread cookies, they are PERFECT for kids!!!

very good waffles. I looked at how much flour was in it and doubled the recipe (before looking at reviews) and it still only made 6 waffles.
