Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Great, great great! I'll never make plain chocolate chip cookies again. My tips: Do as the other reviews said and up the flour and baking soda and used less salt. And I always use an extra splash of vanilla. When making these, I accidentally, I ran out of time 1/2 way thru baking these, so I put the 2nd 1/2 in the fridge. The next day I took it out to bake. The dough was a little crumbly, but I wet my hands and then pushed the dough together in my palm. These cookies were noticeably better than the 1st half. So if you have time, refridgerate! They're great either way though.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
For anyone with a celiac in their life, this recipe is a godsend. My boss can't have any gluten and so holiday and birthday parties at the office are always torture for her. Well, they were... now that I found this flour-less cookie recipe, she'll never feel left out again! These are just as good as any flour-full cookie recipe. I added chocolate chips to them to take it to the next level. I have a feeling that these will respond well to all sorts of variations. I'm thinking about incorporating cocoa powder and vanilla next time around...

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Wow. I've been looking for an easy biscuit recipe for a long time- but I think I've finally found it. These biscuits were easy to make and they turned out INCREDIBLY GOOD. They are flakey, buttery, and they don't last long. They remind me of the biscuits you get at Popeye's- only waaaaaayyyy better. One suggestion I have that I gleamed from my experience baking pie crusts is that you're biscuits will turn out flakier if you use cold butter. I cut my ice cold butter in using my food processor and I think that helped these biscuits achieve all of those buttery, flakey layers.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I followed the directions exactly and this crust turned out so flaky, tasty, and beautiful that my family is still talking about this crust three months later! I'm making it again for Thanksgiving. I leave the crust in the fridge for as long as possible before rolling it because that's really where the magic comes from (as far as I'm concerned)...

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
Brilliant! I have finally found the perfect cookie recipe for my chocoholic boyfriend. These are like little brownie/cookies from heaven. I followed the recipe exactly, and everything turned out swell. I'm thinking next time I might throw in some dried cherries and walnuts- although I'm sure chocholics will love this recipe just as it is.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
I had never made cake from scratch prior to trying out this recipe. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, but I don't think it's the best cake out there. It's a little too sweet, so next time I'm going to try lemon extract instead of vanilla. It looked beautiful poured into my rose cupcake pan, though!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I made these fantastic cookies for my office on Valentine's day. I added a little red food dye to the wet ingrediants before adding in the flour, etc. I also added a little more vanilla. I was the hit of the office. Everyone came by my desk to tell me how good the cookies were and to ask when I was going to make them again... Make thses cookies and you'll make a lot of friends, too!
