Featherlight Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
Delicious! I added a bit of sugar since we have a serious sweet tooth in this household. I found that I needed to bake at least 10 minutes longer for these to be baked completely.

Rosemary Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
These were easy and tasty. I made my own biscuit mix (Bisquick = ick!!). I brushed them with olive oil as soon as they came out of the oven. Yum! I tried freezing the cream cheese as was suggested by the reviewer above, but don't recommend it since it took a long time to cut it in to the flour mixture. I'll use this recipe again when I need a quick bread item to accompany dinner.

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
Everyone gobbled these up quickly. Though we all agreed that they were too sweet, we still managed to eat every crumb. We used berries we picked in the morning and had the muffins for mid-day snack.

Broccoli Noodle Side Dish

The rest of the family liked this better than I did. My youngest liked it so much she just asked if she could have last night's leftovers for dessert tonight!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
Oh yes! This is what I've been looking for! I used buttermilk instead of regular milk, but just because I had it on hand. I brushed the biscuits with melted butter before and after baking. Yum.

Followed the recipe exactly and everyone loved it. My first try with the flat iron cut--it was delicious.

Blueberry Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I do lots of baking, so I don't think it was me...the family agreed that this was an okay recipe. Too much topping--too sweet even though I cut the sugar by 1/3. I did add more flour to help the blueberries set, and that worked fine. It didn't run at all. I used delicious blueberries that we picked the same day. I topped it with a yogurt cream sauce, which helped considerably (1C heavy cream, 1.25C plain yogurt, whisk smooth, sprinkle with brown sugar on top (maybe 1/3 Cup), let sit for a couple hours, then stir).
