Country Apple Dumplings

Mmm Mmm Mmmm... Fabulous!! And so simple! I prepared the dish before dinner, popped it in the oven before we sat down to eat; it baked and I had time to clean up then served the dumplings with vanilla ice cream. It was a huge hit and for sure I'll do this again!

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Loved it! Such a good flavour. My mom was skepitcal when I proposed the idea of sweet and sour pork, but she really liked it. So did everyone else. I'll make this again for sure.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Fabulous! A very tasty, "fall" recipe. I used fresh apples we picked last weekend, served with baked potato and green beans. The only thing I did different from the recipe, was save some of the brown sugar mixture to thicken my sauce. Everyone loved it!

Chicago Dip

Not bad... I didn't read the reviews before I started (oops!) I had to add extra sour cream to cut down the over-powering mayo-ness. I also added garlic powder and pepper. But it's a really good "starter recipe", like you can make it your own really easily.

Cinnamon Krisp

Delish!! All you other AR review-readers might think I'm crazy, but this is the first time I've ever actually made rice krispie squares; love to eat 'em, but never actually made them. I came across this recipe on a hot summer day. Craving something sweet and not wanting to heat up the whole house was my motivation to try this. I actually used the Multi-grain Rice Krispies (to make me feel better about the lack of nutritional value, and to add a little extra fiber) and Craisins (because that's what I had). But they turned out spectacular. Good twist on an old favourite!

Baked Pepperoni Pizza Spread

Not a bad recipe. The smell reminds me so much of a pizza. But the taste (although it IS good), I feel like something is missing. Maybe some sort of pizza sauce. I'll definately make this one again, and see what else I can come up with.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

I left my chicken cooking for a little too long, so it was kind of dry. However, the taste was delicious. Had I not left it on for so long, it would have been perfect. I served it with a baked potato but my brother suggests rice instead; so this recipe is definately a keeper and with plenty of room to experiment.

Sauteed Apples

I followed the original recipe and served them on top of grilled pork chops for dinner (instead of apple sauce). Everyone really liked it. Next time, I use this recipe, I'll add a little more brown sugar and some vanilla and serve it with ice cream for dessert. Delicious!

Chicken Wings

I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I only used it as a guide. I put all my wings in a bowl, and spiced them up with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a few other things I found on the spice rack. I mixed the butter and mustard in a bowl and poured it on top of the wings and mixed them up. I put the bread crumbs in a plastic bag (along with some basil and pepper), added the wings, shook 'em up, then put them on a baking sheet in the oven. The batter didn't stick very well, making it a messy dish, but the flavour was really nice.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

I give this recipe 4 stars. I added chicken to it, and next time I make this I'll use less chicken and more peppers. The spicy-ness was just right. It didn't leave my mouth flaming but added a good kick to the dish. My brother loved it and my mom (who is an extremely picky eater) said it was good. This is a definate repeat! Thanks!
