Harvest Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I recently made this salad for a work potluck and it was a huge hit! The blue cheese I used was quite strong, which gave it quite a kick. However, after being refrigerated for a couple of hours after it was tossed together it became quite overpowering. I would suggest using a milder blue cheese, or only tossing it together when you know it will be eaten right away. Thank you for this excellent recipe.

Gyoza

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
These were just okay. Pre cooking the filling made them finicky to fold properly so I did a couple this way and the rest I just put the raw filling in, which is traditional. I found the filling bland so with my second batch I added a splash of soy sauce, splash of oyster sauce, splash of sesame oil, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp of pepper, 1/4 tsp of ground ginger. Adding these ingredients and not pre cooking the filling made these a definite 5 star dish.

Dr. Bird Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
Wonderful and moist. I made a coconut glaze for the top: 2 tablespoons of margerine, 1/3 c. sugar, 1/3 c. coconut, and 1/3 c. milk (heat and allow to cool slightly). I'll definitely make this one again. A great way to use up my freezer full of bananas!

Egg-Yolk Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
This cake is amazing! Even my husband who's not a fan of sponge cake loved this. The recipe is perfect as written and so easy to make. I had to substitute the lemon extract with almond because that was all I had and it was delicious. The almond combined with the orange was wonderful. I will be making this again.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
These were fast, easy and incredibly delicious! I noticed that several reviewers said they burned on the bottom so I moved my oven rack to the very top and they came out perfect, even after 12 minutes at 450. I also added some garlic powder and extra cheese to batter and brushed the butter mixture on before baking, mmm good!

Fluffy Carrot Muffins with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
Unfortunately these muffins were disappointing. I followed the recipe to the letter and although they came out nice and fluffy they had a strange metallic taste from all of the baking soda. I will not be making these again.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Delish! I made this recipe for a few of my girlfriends last night. I used half cream of mushroom and half cream of chicken soup as suggested by other reviews. I also added some hot sauce to kick it up a notch. My girlfriends raved about it, it's a keeper.

Zucchini-Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Wonderful recipe with loads of zucchini. I used a mini muffin tin and they turned out great, I only baked them for about 12 minutes and recipe made about 3 dozen. I will definitely be making this one again!

Vegetarian Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Definitely one of my favorite recipes on this site. I love the touch of curry, it is definitely what pushes this up to 5 stars. I pie shells I use are unable to accommodate all 5 eggs so I only use three.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Close to the best I've ever had. It seems to have the right balance between rich creamyness, spice, and sweetness. Delicious!
