Alice Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Soo yummy! I did add a 1/4 of a medium sized yellow onion (chopped) with two minced garlic cloves to the mushrooms as they simmered. I also used turkey bacon and lite honey mustard dressing to help cut back on the calories a bit, and it was very tasty!!!

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Excellent! This was actually my second year using this recipe with Thanksgiving's leftovers. Last year I didn't add the half and half, but added it this year because I had some left over from another recipe. Its good with the half and half, but I did prefer the taste of last year's soup without it. Also, I used less onion and butter. I've passed along this recipe to a few friends and will be making this after every Thanksgiving!

Banana Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
Great recipe and I loved that I didn't have to just throw out the cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving that wasn't eatten. I did use the suggestions from someone else to substitute sour cream for the shortening and used pecans instead of walnuts. Very good!

Onion-Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
This recipe was a good and easy recipe to follow, but I did follow the suggestions made in a few other reviews. I baked the potatoes at 350 for 35 min and then the additional 15 min; however, they potoatoes still were not fully cooked. I put them back in the oven for a second round of 15 minutes and then broiled them for 8 minutes. I also added salt, pepper and parmesan cheese before broiling them because otherwise the recipe is bland.

Baked Pineapple II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Yummy! I served it as a dessert (served warm with a scroop of vanilla ice cream). My husband loved it. I could have done with a little less butter, because it is a little too buttery for my taste (and the guilt that I felt eating it!). It was perfect for a chilly rainy night!

Mashed Potato Quesadilla

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
I do hate for things to go to waste, so this was a good recipe foralmost just thrown out mashed potatoes!. I didn't have green onions, so I chopped 1/2 of a yellow onion and sauteed it with two minced garlic cloves. Once those were done , I mixed it into the mashed potaoes. Also, I've made quesadilllas numerous times and never had a need to butter the tortilla; it will brown and get crispy in a non stick pan without the extra calories. My husband liked it and it was a good reciped to save the potatoes from going to waste.
