I started a sourdough pot as soon as I got established in my new home,has been thriving & feeding us frequently
My cooking tragedies
I use beer to marinate a turkey (best way to marinate a turkey is place it in a trash bag with at least a 6 pack of beer & place bag w/turkey in small cooler & place in garage or outside if garage is heated). Beer is great for batter fried fish, I like beer batter halibut....YUMMMM!!!!!!

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II
I have been making this recipe in my bread machine for a couple years now. Only change I have done is add 1 1/2 tsp basil & 1/2 tsp italian seasoning. It does take some time for the bread machine & the "resting" of the dough to complete the pizza, but well worth it. I can't see why I need to look for another recipe when this recipe works well : )

Vicki's Hush Puppies
This recipe was absolutely delicious. I grated the onion, added an extra Tbs sugar, added 1/2 tsp baking powder & 1 tsp salt & 2 Tbs corn... since I didnt have the self-rising cornmeal (used all purpose flour). The grated onion juice was the perfect consistency to mix it all together. This recipe was added immediately to my recipe box after dinner. Hubby said "this is just what I wanted, great tasting hush puppies"...enjoy!! :-)

White Chili I
A friend of mine from work made this white chili for a potluck & it was so good. Although, I lost the recipe she gave me. I found this recipe & it turned out better than what my coworker made. I revised it, instead of browning onion in pan I added minced onion. Was super easy to make. I boiled my chicken (4 chicken breasts) I had an extra breast leftover & turned that into my salad the following day. The chili lasted only 24 hours in my house. Next time I will double the cans of white northern beans. A "must do" recipe. :)
