Hot dogs, pot roast, baked chicken or pork... I never knew that a "picnic" wasn't really a HAM for many years... Then my years in England... the over done beef roast with Yorkshire pudding, fish & chips once a week... My very first "hamburger" over
there was made of GROUND HAM of all things! Of course, there was the European influence also, which was rather fun... Then, back to Michigan to dad's fried potatoes, boiled dinners, and his NASTY saurkraut!
Now that I've become infatuated with the world of food, it should come as no wonder, that my preferences are diverse as the globe itself. Have you been "reading" me that long, my series "Around the World in Eighty Days" was not only fun to write, but wonderful
in that each "stop," I prepared a meal... one that I felt suitable to the country I "was in" at the time. In fact, I made a chicken curry (second attempt ever) that was actually very tasty! (My first attempt some yrs earlier, was down right horrible!)
Where from here, I wonder? Oh yeah, back to MI for a bit... When Mum was here last, she ate nothing but cheese sandwiches! Guess I'll have to cook while I'm there! That or dine out frequently! Unless she's got a LOT of cheese in the house!
So, friends, where from here? I don't have a clue! Thus far, it's been wherever my muse takes me... It would be "fun" tho to have some sort of theme for a while. Perhaps I'll come up with something, soon...
Meantime, be healthy, be happy, be crazy!
