Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
Great base for the "stuffing", I will use it again & again I'm sure - I think my problem with this one was the Flounder itself. I prefer a whiter flakier fish.

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
Good basic recipe - a bit too much milk for my liking. Just add a little at a time to get the right consistency for your own tastes.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
I tried this recipe because I was low on butter, but high on chocolate craving! I used half white & half semi-sweet chips, but will try again with all semi-sweet because they ended up not being quite chocolate-y enough for me. I would also skip the salt if you have salted butter, I actually could taste the salt which was a little odd, but not unpleasant. My husband loved them, thanks for the sharing this one!

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
We really liked this soup, I gave 4 stars because I did have to change it just a bit to suit my pantry. I used Evaporated milk instead of half & half, because that's what I had on hand. Also, skipped the celery but used a little celery salt. Served with beer bread, it was a very good warm your soul kind of meal! Thanks for the recipe!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This is really good sweet tea! I make 2 batches, keeping one in a large canning jar in the back of the fridge so we've always got some on hand. : )

Easy Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This is way better than I thought it would be for as simple as it is to make! I needed a bit more sugar for my tastes, probably used about a Tablespoon. I didn't measure the milk the second time, I just poured into my favorite drinking glass. : ) Thanks for the recipe!

Banana Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
Very good! I took these to work & they were a hit with everyone. Not too sweet, and very moist. I kept them in the fridge in an airtight container because it's been very hot & humid here. Only changes I made were cinnamon in place of the nutmeg & walnuts in place of pecans, simply because I didn't have the other ingredients on hand.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I omitted the cheddar cheese, only using Parmesan simply because I don't care for cheddar cheese on chicken. I browned both sides first, using my oven proof skillet, then baked for the 30 min still because I hadn't pounded the breasts too thin. Thanks for sharing this one - we all loved it!

Tina's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
I wish I had paid attention to how much this recipe yields...it was WAY more than I needed for a fruit tray. I will make this again, but will definitely halve the recipe. Excellent with strawberries, grapes & apples.

Ham with Pineapple

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I made this for our Christmas Eve open house - I totally omitted the cloves, and used crushed pineapple, but this ham was fantastic! Everyone raved over it. Thank you!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
I do not frost these, simply because I do not like frosted brownies & they are fantastic! They are my 10 year olds favorite brownie, the only change I make is to use applesauce in place of the oil.

Zesty Coleslaw

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This was the first side dish to disappear from the table at a cookout we had. The dill was a great addition. Thanks for the recipe!

Spicy Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
Unfortunately, this didn't work too well for us. I used bone in thighs & it marinated in the fridge for 2 days, but it really didn't get much flavor. It was juicy, just not very flavorful.

I used almost a full tsp of ground mustard powder, but otherwise stuck to the recipe - we loved it..good & creamy. Thanks!

German Potato Salad

I used 7 red potatoes, cubed. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. My 10 year old didn't care for it, but the adults enjoyed it for sure. Thanks!

Banana Cream Pie III

I made this very last minute for a Memorial Day picnic - used a pre-made graham cracker crust & 2 banana puddings. It was a hit! Thank you!

We like to add sliced bananas for a "nanner-nutter-fluffer". I must have the absolute freshest white bread for mine. Mmmmm...

This was good, nothing exceptional, but my 10 year old who only ever eats frozen fish triangles ate it so I'm happy! : )

Crab Stuffed Manicotti

I liked these, but I wish I had used my own alfredo sauce recipe instead of jarred. That stuff is just nasty in my opinion. : (

I did not use chile peppers & had only cheddar cheese - but otherwise followed recipe. My guys said I can make these every week, we all loved them!
