It's been a year since I've posted on my blog - sorry - time just flies ... I will try to keep up with it more regularly.
My original intention for this blog was to celebrate the wonderful recipes my mom taught me - and to celebrate my parents - two of the most wonderful people I've ever known…
I am a single woman who works too much but loves to cook when I have the time. I also love to travel.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are my mom's recipes. We would enjoy many great times in the kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's mix of Russian recipes with her Italian influence. Also, trying to reproduce the love my mom put into each of her dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Successfully making my mom's Stuffed Cabbage and it actually tasting like hers.
My cooking tragedies
Italian Easter bread. One year when making the Easter bread (I make many batches and give out to many friends and family members.) Forgot to add yeast into one of the batches and had very flat bread - but still tasted pretty good.
