Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
My favorite part of this recipe is the "crunch"...the topping of these bars. I used ripe strawberries that were very sweet, so I reduced the sugar. I used frozen rhubarb, which is hard to cut up if you let it get to soft (if you haven't cut it up before freezing it). My family enjoyed this recipe.

Piernik - Honey Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
This recipe was great!!!! I omitted the raisins, just because I'm not a fan. I'm glad I added walnuts though because they added some texture and flavor. I love the spices in this bread! I think dried cranberries or "craisins" would be good in this bread!

Key Lime Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
This was a good cheesecake. I put the pan of hot water in the oven with the cheesecake, but it still cracked. I followed the advice of others and cut down on the lime juice, but wish I wouldn't have. I think it could have used more lime flavor. I garnished it with whip cream and strawberries. I thought it was a tasty cheesecake and will probably make it again.

LOVED THIS SOUP!!!!!!!!!!! Make it a's not too pickly. I was nervous to try it because it sounds gross, but it's delicious.I threw in whatever I had laying around the house including celery, carrots, corn, green beans, mushrooms, onions. This soup is the best and my Polish family loved it!

Haystacks III

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
These cookies had good flavor, but they were so chewy that they were hard to eat. I'm not sure if cooked the caramel-like mixture too long or not. I followed the directions exactly.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
These are AMAZING! I used 1/4 tsp of cinnamon instead of 1/8 for more flavor. These are probably the best muffins I have ever made! Next time I think I will add chopped walnuts to the batter...every time a make a new recipe, my dad asks if I added nuts, no matter how wonderful it is! I think they would be delicious in this recipe, and add some crunch!

Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
These potatoe pancakes are just like my grandma used to make! I used 4 large potatoes instead of five, and also used 4 eggs intstead of 2. I really liked this recipe and will definitely make again!
