Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
My new go-to roasted potato recipe. To add flavor, I use a whole onion, all the above mentioned ingredients, and some Tony's seasoning. Very easy and very flavorful.

Best Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Good, but not amazing. The good thing is, it was very easy to make. However, I thought the combination of flavors became one big oniony-ketchupy mess. Certainly more than tolerable, but a bit unnatural. I think the vinegar, onion and ketchup detracted from the subtle delightfulness of the cranberry. Still, most people would rave about it.

Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This is an excellent gourmet recipe and the results were out-of-this-world delicious. I was proud to serve it to a party of 7. It was very easy to make, and with such fancy ingredients it was essentially fool proof. I barely made any changes, except I halved the cream, added homemade chicken broth, used made my own homemade pesto (it was sitting in the freezer from centuries ago), and served it over quinoa as a fellow reviewer suggested.

Green Onion Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
I cannot believe this recipe is online! My immigrant mother made these scallion pancakes faithfully for us growing up. She herself grew up having them in pre-communist China and then Taiwan. It is the quintessential comfort food in our home. Goes well with congee and pickled goodies.

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
Compared to store bought lemon curd, this was too sour. Next time, I will add another egg, a little less lemon juice, and perhaps 2 drops of vanilla to soften the edge. Very good, nonetheless!

Lebanese Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This is a FINE recipe! The lemon makes it so much more interesting than your average tasty stew. Chicken and rosemary go very well together, but the combination of it all with onion and potato juices makes it to die for. I promise you will not be able to stop picking at it. Please don't refrigerate, as it take the tenderness away from the chicken.

Hungarian Goulash I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I love goulash, and I like that this recipe uses tomato paste, as it intensifies the paprika and gives it a good consistency. I used a tablespoon of butter to saute the onions and added potatoes and carrots, to make it sweeter and heartier.

Honey, Mustard, and Yogurt Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
1 Minute Masterpiece! I mixed whole milk organic yogurt with country dijon and added honey. I think the whole milk yogurt did it--whole milk yogurt is delicious because it has more fat (14%DV). I was pleasantly surprised.

Shrimp Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
This tangy salad is my favorite recipe on this allrecipes.com! I put only a pinch of cumin, as it is overpowering. Another variation of the vinaigrette you might want to try is to use lime juice instead of vinegar and add some fresh basil. My only complaint is that it takes too long to make because of all the ingredients!

Black Forest Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
This cake is on the dry side, but it wasn't too hard to make. Instead of putting all the cherries on top, I cut the cake in half and put 75% of the cherries and sauce inside the cake, and used the rest as garnish. Next time, I will definitely use more cherries to moisten up the cake. Also, I used lime and orange zest as garnish. The flavors blend well.

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
While this bread came out sweet, tasty, and moist, I thought it was too dense. I am, however, a novice at bread-making, since this is only my 5th loaf ever.

Bread Pudding III

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
Beautiful golden bread pudding; perfect moisture. I microwaved the raisins (+ craisins and prunes) in rum-water for a minute before adding it in, so it'd be plump.
