I've read all these reviews...I see nothing wrong with this simple basic recipe. I have made everything from shrimp to onion rings..and all inbetween.. and keep referring to this recipe. AS IS! Yeah..the batter gets soggy if you let it sit...but doesn't All batter? (we are not talking breading here). Anyway..this recipe is great.. perfect! the only thing i do different is give the family a salt shaker...if they prefer it salty er than what it is..they can shake it! lol I never measure spices..so maybe a do a little more garlic? or maybe less... The basics to this recipe is fine..no need to add...no need to flour more..etc. I LOVE this recipe..its my backbone of my batter !! Great Job to the Chef!
