About this Cook
My name is Christie, and I am a mother of two beautiful children. My son is almost six years old and my daughter is almost one years old.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things. I really enjoy learning how to cook my husbands favorite mexican foods from his mother. So far I love to make one of the breakfest's his mother taught me that has eggs, onions, green chiles, tomato saue, tortias, bacon and cheese.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorit family cooking traditions are when everyone is in the kitchen and haveing a great time with one another. I love showing my son how to cook and he really seems to enjoy learning how. Even my daughter gets involed.
My cooking triumphs
When I was little my grandmother always made "Chopped Broccoli Cassroll" for thanksgiving. I only help her one time, and after almost ten years I tempted to try and make it for my family. I was so please that one my family loved it and two that I was able to remember just how she had made it her self. I am sure she was looking down on me and helping me the whole time. Thanks Nonny
My cooking tragedies
My mother always made something she called smoothered steak. I tried to make it the other day and I did not do anything right. It teasted awful. Thanks to my mother in law she turned it into something that teasted great.

Authentic Huevos Rancheros
My mother in law made this for me when I first met my husband. Her and I both do a few things different. First we don't use beans, second we scramble our eggs, and last we use tomato saue with a little bit of water and add onions, jalapeno to that. We then place the scrambled eggs( that is done like an omlet, not scrambled scrambled.)on top of two corn tortillas. Of course we put the melted Munster cheese on top with beacon.
