About this Cook
Hi. My name is Sarah. I am a 39 year old single mother of 3 wonderful kids, ages 18, 13 and 4. I am currently working as a dispatcher for Redi-Care Ambulance. I mostly just enjoy staying home with my kids and enjoy the company of good friends. Cooking and having a house full of people to enjoy it is just who I am. Recently engaged to an awesome man whom I adore...and who adores me and my kids.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook.....anything. I enjoy trying new recipes. I especially enjoy baking. My family enjoys simple delicious meals and we all enjoy eating.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father taught me the basics of cooking when I was only a young girl. We are from West Virginia and we eat a lot of homemade biscuits, brown beans and cornbread, fried potatoes, etc.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that my family enjoys is a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I have had a few recipes that turned out just horrible....but for the most part, it is rare to fix something we wont' eat.
Recipe Reviews 1 review
This recipe is perfect! Only thing I changed was the amount I made and making very small dumplings. I would suggest doubling the recipe if not more, depending on family size. I used these dumplings with a pot of chicken that had been seasoned and simmered all day long and it was the best chicken and dumplings I have ever made. I have already shared this recipe with several friends and will be using this recipe from now on!
