White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Made this today and got rave reviews all round. We had guests who also gave it an A1..lovely recipe, definitely a keeper, the next time i'd prolly use 1.5 cups cookie crumbs as 1 cup was a tad bit thin...Thank you very much!

Gooey Butter Cake III

The search has stopped here. This is the best butter cake. I made it the first time according to the original recipe and found the base too dry and the cheese topping too sweet. The second time, I increased the butter to 1 cup and reduced the sugar by half...the result was an awesomely some, buttery cake with a moist and delicious cheese topping...lovely! This one is a keeper and dh even asked me to make another to give to the neighbours! I made it for mom and she has not stopped raving since...everyone who has tried it asked for the recipe. With these 2 alterations, this one is a winner! Thanks Barbara!

Boterkoek (Dutch Butter Cake)

Buttery goodness. A little bit dry but thats how its suppose to be. Tasted better the next day as per other reviewers comments. A few changes made was I used self raising flour and ommited the baking powder. Didnt have almond extract so used 2 tsp vanilla & 1/2 tsp rum extract. Pleace macadamia nuts on the top of the cake before baking. Simply delicious..would make it again! Dh loved it.

Banana Cake VI

Pretty good recipe, my parents loved it as I cut down the sugar...made them into cupcakes and added chopped walnuts...i also like my banana cakes spiced so added grated nutmeg & cinnamon..

Banana Banana Bread

A real keeper and a good base for other variations. i added grated nutmeg & cinnamon in mine and the smell as it was baking was awesome. Brought some into work & co-workers were over the moon at how soft & moist it was.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Fantastic Recipe...thanks for sharing. Family loved it! Another option (if you're all out of blueberries) is to place half a tsp of blueberry or any other jam you have on hand in the middle of the muffin before baking...its delicious

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe...you dont need to use a full ounce of colouring though!...5 drops would have been just enough. The first time i made this i used an ounce as the recipe calls for and the cupcakes were too dark almost brown in colour (the cocoa too ends up darkening the cupcake quite a bit)...its an awesome tasting recipe...i brought it into work and everyone thought it was storebought both by the presentation of the cream frosting & the taste!

Melting Moments

A definite 5 star recipe! My husband loves rock biscuits and i used this recipe but instead of rolling into a log and cutting, i just dropped them into the muffin tray and they look & taste fantastic! Got 6 large boscuits using this method.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

This is an excellent recipe. I double the butter/sugar sauce mixture and after removing it form heat added 1tsp cinnamon & 1 tsp vanilla. I also mixed the apples in the sauce before filling the pie shell. I made 12 mini apple pies using a muffin tray & puff pastry. They looked awesome. I added chopped walnuts in half of them and they were the best! Thanks for sharing.

Pastry for Double Pie-Crust

This is a fool-proof recipe. I wanted to make Grandma Ople's apple pie from this site but only had puff pastry in the fridge. Being 10.20pm, i told dh that we would need to purchase the short crust pastry tomorrow & make the apple pie then. Did a search for pastry on this site and discovered this simple & quick recipe. All the mixing etc was completed under 10 mins (I used butter as I prefer the taste & also added a tbsp of caster sugar as the crust was for apple pie) & I left the dough to rest a futher 30 mins. I will never use store-bought again! Thanks for sharing!

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

perfect perfect PERFECT! 5 starts all around...so important to boil the reduction until it reduces...so rich & caramalised. Everyone loved it...had to make more for the rest of the chops...goes perfectly with the honey roasted potatoes also on this site. Thanks for sharing!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

A definite crowd pleaser. Made it for dinner yesterday night along with lamb chops with balsamic reduction (also from this site) & a side of wilted greens and my children were asking for seconds. The pot was licked clean! Thanks for sharing. ...the only change i made was I did boil the potatoes al dente first. A real keeper especially if you dont feel like mashing potatoes after work..hehe

Zucchini Brownies

This is the best brownie recipe ever! I wouldn't believe there was zucchini in it had I not put it in myself. It was fudgey and moist and full of flavour. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. FOLLOW THE RECIPE TO THE "T" and you will be amazed!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

Trini Mango Cheesecake

Excellent recipe, I added chopped macadamian nuts to the cheese mixture before baking & used digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers. We didnt have mango nectar so used canned mangoes for the sauce and fresh mangoes on the top. Dh ate the entire cake in 24 hours. Said he loved it. Taste better than the deli. Thank you Trini !!! Will be making it again this weekend.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

These brownies tastes UNBELIEVABLE! I didn't have caramel so only used the choc chips layer in the center and mixed in chopped hazelnuts. Used condensed milk instead of eavop milk as we dind't have any. It goes perfectly with a hot mug of ginger tea. I finished the whole batch by myself. Will be trying it next with vanilla cake mix for variation. A definite keeper!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Excellent recipe. Halved it for the pear cake also from this site & it covered the cake beautifully. Not sickly sweet either. Just perfect. Thanks for sharing. Will only use this cream cheese frosting from now on as all other cheese frosting pale in comparison!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Best White sauce ever! We bought a deli chicken, deboned it and cut in cubes. Added it to the sauce and tossed with pasta. Tasted better than what we have and our favourite Italian Restaurant. And best of all, it is sooooo easy & quick. We also tried it another time by adding fresh mushrooms which was very good but not as good as the deli chicken. Thank you for sharing. This recipe is a keeper! We tried it again with fried bacon & mushrooms and it was really good as well...have to say that the best is still with roast/deli chicken. It's so good that mom wants the recipe.

Fabulously Sweet Pear Cake

Our family's new fav cake! I used brown sugar only not white. Used macadamia nuts as we didn't have pecans or walnuts. Didn't puree the pears, simply sliced them thin. We used the cream cheese frosting also on this site. Fabulously deeelicious & Perfect combo with tea or for dessert with a cup of steaming latte! Husband took it to work and all the guys wanted a copy of the recipe to take home to their wives...hehe. No one could believe there was pear in the cake :o) Thank you so much for sharing!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV
