Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
Ive made these twice now and everyone likes them. First time they felt the gravy was too thin (and I agree) so second time I cut out the liquids and let the natural pork juice thin it out and that was perfect. But the second time it didnt have enough spice. It needs some "country gravy" seasonings. Next time I make it I will def put some spices in it.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
This was a good bouncing off point. My husband and father-in-law dont like dumplings so I made those on the side for me and my mother-in-law. I ended up putting potatoes in there for the men. I also added some spices because it was bland. I added seasoning salt, garlic, parsley, and ground bay leaf. It tasted similar to chicken noodle soup but a lot creamier!!!! I will make this again with my changes.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This is a dish my family has for breakfast every Christmas morning when I was a kid! This Christmas I was away from my parents being they moved 18 hours in one direction and I moved 3 days in the opposite direction. My mother in law ate 3 servings which is rare for anything. Thank you for having this recipe posted! I was able to have one family tradition still going!

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
I did not care for this recipe. I did it last year for Thanksgiving and forgot to rate it then so I'm rating it now. I found it dry and tasteless.

Strawberry Fritters with Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
It was pretty darn good! kind of reminded me of strawberry shortcake. The fritter batter turned out too thin so ended up having to add more flour. Also, I think instead of semi-sweet that dark chocolate would add a little more contrast. I plan on making this again and changing the ratio of dry to wet to make it a thicker batter with still a lot of taste. Great alternative to cakes or chocolate covered strawberries!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
WOW! What a great recipe! I added more chicken than it called for, also I don't like chunks of onion in my soup so I used onion flakes. LOVED IT!!! I like crockpot recipes with little to no prep and this is a great one!

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
WOW! This is a great delicious recipe! I put it on a timer to be ready in the morning and without the recommended stop and start it turned out great! This is our "staple" for fresh bread.

Herbed Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
It was very bland! I thought this would be good because I make very similar pasta sauce but with no chicken. I was terribly wrong! Next time I will make my pasta sauce and add the chicken!

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
I have made this twice now and both times it turned out great! I cut down the lemon juice, vinegar, and mustard because my husband doesn't really like those things. He loved it and never noticed that it had those three ingredients in it! I made chicken sandwhiches with this, add a little bit of ranch dressing, cheese slices and tomatoes...its great!

Cajun Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
I thought it was pretty good. I added a little splash of Worcestershire sauce. I also omitted the cayenne pepper but added mild jalapeno Tabasco sauce. I cooked it on the stove in skillet and it turned out very juicy and tasty. My husband loved it!

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
Great Recipe! I didn't have cream of mushroom or white wine so I used cream of chicken and Chicken broth. I put some "healthy" stuff in there too. I used wheat pasta and 2% milk cheese- turned out just fine!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
Great Recipe! My husband loved it. I took some of the advice: I used seasoned bread crumbs for a good meat flavor, I used less of ketchup then what it called for and also, I made 4 patties with the sauce for 6 to use on baked potatoes!

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
I took everyone's advice about how spicy it was and used 2 TBS regular chili powder and 1 TBS cumin. I don't have a grill so I cooked it inside and it was awesome! I thought it could use a little bit more salt though.

Cheesy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This recipe was great! I only had one can of cream of mushroom so I used cream of potato for the second, I also used only about 1 cup of sour cream which seemed like plenty. My boyfriend and his brother ate the whole pan in one sitting!

Slow Cooker Dump and Go Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Awesome recipe! The only complaint I had was it was too soupy for me. I think I might try adding some flour about 10 to 20 minutes before serving so its thicker. But I definitely am making this one again!

Roast Beef and Gravy

My boyfriend is incredibly picky with food. He ate so much of it, I only got one serving! I added some water and a little bit extra beef broth.
