Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
For as little ingredients and effort I first thought there is no way. This was so, so good. The only change I made was using 1/2 whit wine and 1/2 chicken broth. I also took advice of another reader and added spinach and the end. The hubby loved it!!

Peggy's Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
This was so good. I made 2 changes. I substituted sharp cheddar cubes for the American. I am not a big fan of bread crumbs so I used saltine crackers crumbled and tossed in melted butter. Kept everything else the same per recipe. Everyone loved it and it was so simple. Will make again.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
this was super creamy and fairly easy to make. I followed the recipe but instead of all sharp cheddar I did half sharp cheddar and half jack cheese. Everyone ate it up.

Taco Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
I made this but with chicken instead and it was really good. I cut up two chicken breasts (for 4 servings of salad). and put in a baggie, poured taco seasoning over it and let the meat marinade in it for 2 hours. I then sauteed chicken in skillet and mixed meat mixture with the rest of the ingredients except for tortilla chips and french dressing. Chilled for about 2 hours and then right before serving added tortilla chips and french dressing and tossed. My family loved it.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
This pasta was very good and light tasting. I took other reviewers advice and cut lemon juice in half. I added a small 9-oz. box of frozen chopped broccoli and cooked it with the pasta. Hubby loved it and asked for me to keep recipe to make again!

Fall Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I made this recipe for a family lunch gathering and everyone enjoyed it a lot. I took advice of others and used rice vinegar in place of cider vinegar. It was still a little to tart so I added 1 tsp of honey and that did the trick. I will surely make this again.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
This was so so good. I made it for memorial weekend barbecue and both my sisters wanted the recipe. When I went to make it the recipe I cut into my green pepper to find it it was bad on the inside. I did not have another so I used a red pepper and it still came out fantastic. I can't wait to make it again using a green pepper.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
This recipe was really good. I used other reviewers suggestions and used canned chopped tomatoes and beef broth instead of water. The beef broth really rounded out the flavor. I also filled peppers up halfway then sprinkled cheese and some of the soup inside and then filled them the rest of the way. This insured they were moist through and through.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
this recipe was really good and flavorful. I took 1 reviewers suggestion and skipped the flour breading. I just browned the chicken breasts in oil w/o any breading and they came out perfect.

Lemon Pepper Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I agree with the other reviewers this is more a side dish. I made it as a side dish for pan fried Talapia and it was a huge hit. I added the parmesan cheese at the end as suggusted and my husband love it!

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
This pot roast was so tender and juicy! I used a red Cabernet wine instead of Vermouth and added carrots, celery and onions after 2 hours of cooking time. The gravy was rich and non-fatty so I could serve it as is to my family and they loved it. I will surely make this again.
