Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

this was excellent! i forgot the butter. i used about 3 cups of a terric washington state merlot. crockpot worthy indeeed! highly recommended...great reviews and saves for a very good reason!

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

ths is excellent! i made these the day before st. paddy's day and followed the diections except lowering the cooking time to @ 6 hours on low in a slowcooker. i made reubens with these with some rye bread and seriously tweaked tater salad. i will not not make cornbeef any other way. just superb!

Cabbage Rolls II

very minor tweaks. i used 2 cans of diced maters with oreganeo, basil, and onions. i forgot to get crushed tomatos. no biig deal. i did add fresh diced green bell peppers to the meat mixture. they were excellent!

One Pot Pinto Beans

this is 5 star worthy. i did soak the beans over-night. added verde and mozz cheese at the end. i really hate cilentro,so left out the pico de gallo. i had bought an immersion blender...great way to make 'em. i wish i had doubled this!

excellent...but i LOVE horseradish sauce...i would add MORE! but as written, terrific. i believe folks that don't like horsey would like this. i used fresh lemon squeezed . try this!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

i gotta give this 5 stars, because i HATE cilantro ( tastes like soap to me.) but i did some minor changes to the recipe...i used half the fresh cilantro called for. it tasted like a fancy ranch dressing to me. i do hate cilantro, but this, after a cilantro challenge was issued...yep it's dang good!

sorry about the low rating...but the eggs were not close to perfect. wife and i had different options on making them, i cook, so i chose this. it sounded intriguing, but not easy to peel at all! nope, i'm out on these!

i truly hate to review a recipe this low...but it is what is. this was a waste of great pork chops. i followed the recipe. i love horseradissh. really no taste at all. i will not waste chops here again...sorry about the low rating, just 4 ingredients..it sounded great...but.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

i could not not my liquid smoke and cayenne perpper is too hot...so they were side-lined. i made the rest of the recipe as stated. porterhouse steaks marinated 2 days, baked taters and basil and mater salad for the 4th of july. a terrific marinade. you could cut the steak with a fork...wife said it was the best steak she ever ate...i agree.

it seems so many folks love this...and yes it is good. my problem is it calls for too much water. i made as written...too watery for my taste. halve the water and it would be better. i won't waste shrimp again here, though.

Sweet Corn Bread

i only had 1 egg so i tried this recipe. i loved it. i left out the baking powder and soda. i used self-rising cornmeal and honey instead of sugar. very nice. great with ham/veggie soup or chili on a cold night.

grewat stuff! i had all the ingredients besides the baking powder...i said what the heck...the mixture was all together and i didn't want to waste it. it still turned out great. i made this and all the older veggies and some ham from christmas. nice and sweet. update...i added half a cup sourcream and green onions to the batter...better.

i love cole slaw. i get tired of the same stuff, though. i gave this a try and yehaw! another keeper! i had to use dried herbs (i added more dill) and it was great! i served this with salmon patties and cheese grits. this is good stuff ya, especially the next day! oh yeah i used half the sugar called for.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

great stuff. i halved the cream cheese and sliced the chddar @ quarter inch thick . i beat the boobs into submission and rolled the the cheeses and fresh basil and tooth-picked the boobs up. i bettered the casserole dish and baked an extra 15 minutes. ohh...i used the juice of a fat lemon and the zest. we love lemons here! great stuff! highly recommended!

Easy Red Beans and Rice

i didn't realize how spicy the meat was, i also added rotel maters with chiles and pepper sauce and plenty of black pepper. waaay tooo hot for me...i ate the rice and beans dang good i tried the sausage and snorted fire. wife said the was spicy,but not considered hot. my moose added more hot sauce. they liked it...i'm a wuss...red beans and rice was real good with the maters...that sausage lawdy mercy!

Zucchini e Pomodori Gratinati (Zucchini and Tomato Gratin)

very good stuff! after a trial run prior to bird day, i made a couple small changes. i fried about 6 pieces of bacon, fried some onion and the garlic in the butter and some bacon grease then proceeded with the recipe. i'll add more bacon next time. i crumbled the bacon and covered with the cheeses. big hit!
