bring any oil you favor...or sunscreen. this is a sun-baked southern round-up! it's happening September 20-27 in panama city beach, fla. we will book rooms by june in order to help folks share condos ( if ya desire to split cost.) you...yes, you are welcome. this is a beautiful region of n.w. fla. sugar sand beaches, warm tempertures ( very warm ), small crowds and low off-season rates. any outdoor activity is available and within 20 miles of your bed. last time i was there i went para-sailing with robo granma....talk about a face frozen smile! great fishing is everywhere. golf courses too. great cheap hole-in-the-wall seafood resturants. this areais known in my neck of the woods as, " redneck riveria." well, it's gotten civilized somewhat. cindy lepp and i have found some great rooms at cheap prices. you can e-mail me about those. we will be staying in a family-friendly condos called celadon. we've stayed there twice. very nice, very convient to great shopping, great location and everything you expect from a top-shelve condo...even has a terrific family-owned donut place within shouting distance. please refer to cindy lepp, pelicangal, and robogranma's prior blogs to see pictures of what fun we had! bring wrinkle cream...you will need it...we never stopped laughing. you will look like the joker from the batman movies. seriously deranged folks running amok among a group of like minded folks. you will not sleep, you will eat, you will have a blast! what a great way to wave goodbye to summer!  we are set on our reservation time...ya  check my and the other folks blogs mentioned. this is a WEEK long round-up. believe me, we have FUN!!

PS. We did look at other condo this year for a change....however, the prices would not be worth it. It's all about company, being together and the beach.

About Me
i enjoy cooking. the wife considers it a chore. i hate yard work. she loves it. we mesh. i love bass fishing, reading, music, baseball, college football and my family.
My favorite things to cook
i love vegetables, soups, and italian cusine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
holidays are a big deal! christmas is my time to shine. i try to add a new recipe each year, but the family demands pretty much the same menu. kinda frustrating!
My cooking triumphs
i cared for my mother in law about 3 months when she had shattered her shoulder. i didn't work, so money was tight. we survived on only wife's paycheck during that time. ma-n-law had diet restrictions. it was difficult to make cheap, nutritious meals everyone would eat. we prospered as a family and learned alot about each other's strenghths and weaknesses.
My cooking tragedies
a stove top fire. i explained that one already. the grill falling over was another one...oops grill season is here! i love the tragedies...those are the ones that i'll always remember!
