Cream of Cauliflower Soup II

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Geez, this is good!!!Did not use sherry, did not have any, used a hand blender, and left small bits of veggies, added celery, cause I had it. You can leave the salt out, broth has enough, but do use the nutmeg. Add more or less milk depending on taste. Really great soup, next day even better.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
.I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THESE CHANGES. ITS ONE DARN GOOD COOKIE, AND I WILL NOT GO BACK TO PLAIN OATMEAL COOKIES AGAIN. DOUGH AND COOKIES FREEZE WELL. THANK YOU BETH FOR ONE HECK OF A COOKIE. I FOLLOWED THE RECIPE, EXCEPT USED ALL BUTTER INSTEAD OF FLAVORED CRISCO. I DID NOT HAVE ANY AND I REALLY WANTED SOME MORE COOKIES.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I FOLLOWED OTHER SUGGESTIONS, AND USED WORSCHIRE AND FROZEN VEGGIES. BUT INSTEAD OF BROTH I USED CONSOMME, (THOUGHT ABOUT FRENCH ONION SOUP). TOMATOE PASTE INSTEAD OF KETCHUP,AND THEN MIXED MY VEGGIES IN THE MEAT MIXTURE. INSTEAD OF MASHED POTATOES I USED LEFT OVER SCALLOP POTATOES,WHIPPED UP USING MY HAND MIXER AND ADDED MILK AS NEEDED. THEN I LAYERED IT ALL IN RAMEKINS, INSTEAD OF A CASSEROLE DISH. MEAT MIXTURE,SHREDDED CHEESE, POTATOES, AND TOPPED WITH PAPRIKA, AND A LITTLE MORE CHEESE. BAKED WHAT I NEEDED AND FROZE THE REST FOR LATER.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2008
WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. TASTED LIKE UNSEASONED CHICKEN, COOKED WITH A PECAN COATING,AND A SIDE OF MUSTARD FLAVOR BROWN SAUCE. FOLLOWED THE RECIPE,BUT DID NOTHING FOR ME. EASY TO MAKE,USED OLIVE OIL AND BUTTER LIKE OTHERS SUGGESTED. WILL NOT TRY AGAIN.

Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I AM 13 AND I MADE THIS JAM WITH MY AUNT. I LESSENED THE AMOUNT OF SUGAR AND PUREED IT. IT TOOK ABOUT 1 HOUR TO REACH 220. THIS JAM IS DELICIOUS AND EASY. WE MADE ALOT OF IT AND CANNED IT. WE PLAN TO PUT IT ON CHEESECAKE, DOUGHNUTS, SCONES, TOAST, AND MUCH MORE.
