Hungarian Mushroom Soup
I made this exactly as the recipes states with the exception of using cornstarch to thicken instead of flour. I feel it's lacking something, although I can't pinpoint what. It tastes exactly as one would think - like dill & paprika. I think I might just not be a huge fan of paprika in this quantity, but that's not the fault of the recipe. The boyfriend likes it. We thought we'd have to argue with the kids & force them to eat dinner, but they both gave it 100 thumbs up; the 7 yr. old had 2 bowls. Talk about the opposite reaction I'd anticipated. Even before they ate it, they both said they didn't like onions or mushrooms (even though they eat them often without knowing it in my cooking). I'm told it's really good (by the boyfriend & both kids) with crusty bread or rolls. I'm thinking about making something along the lines of Salisbury steak & using this as the gravy - I think it'd be pretty good used as a gravy over the meat or mashed potatoes.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins
Very good recipe. Made as is written, and I love the slightly crunchy topping the sprinkle of sugar creates. Boyfriend & his kids enjoyed too. Will use again with different berries to shake things up.

Baked Dijon Salmon
Thought this was really good. Had to sub walnuts for pecans since that's what I had on hand, and I halved the recipe, but it sure was tasty! The marinade makes a really good salad dressing, too!
