Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
I've had this recipe (printed) for a couple of years and just made it. I'm sorry I waited so long because it was so good. We used ground turkey but other than that we made the recipe as stated ( oops - we just used ginger not pickled ginger. We made our own sauce as others suggested and we wished we would have had those nice crispy noodles. Loved it and will make many times in the future. We served with fried rice. Yum!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2013
I made this for a tailgate party! Fun! I put batter into small egg shaped cake molds. I really loved the texture and flavor of the cakes but I wished I would have taken other's suggestions and made a cream cheese filling. After baking in the egg shape I let cool and split in half, added filling and then replaced the top to form football shape. I decorated by putting filling in a plastic baggie and snipping off just a tiny bit of the corner to squeeze icing out of. It had been suggested to use a toothpick to help your lines on the football but I did not have one, and I think it would have helped. All in all they were delicious and fun! I'll be making these again but switching to cream cheese icing for sure. I used dark brown sugar to make the appearance look more like a football too:)

MeeMaw's 5-Star Coleslaw Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
I loved this and gave it four stars only because I did not have the celery seed so I substituted a dash of celery salt instead plain salt. Really quick and really good. Thanks for sharing!

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2013
This was really really good. I didn't have the coconut and I only used half the maraschino cherries, otherwise I made it exactly as written. I will definitely make again, it was moist but not too moist. It was sweet but not too sweet. Thanks for the recipe!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
I made this pretty much as listed with the exception that I didn't have enough garlic powder so I added a little more dried garlic flakes and I used black pepper because again, I didn't have white pepper. My family loved it! It added wonderful flavor to the steaks! Just a note that it was more saucey in texture than other marinades. I will definitely be using this again

Baked Macaroni and Cheese III

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2013
I loved this recipe. I rated it a four because I had read the suggestions and increased the sauce and also added more cheese. I mixed the parmesan cheese in with the cheddar and put buttered bread cubes on top the last 15 minutes. I also ended up baking for 45 minutes total.

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
Love this recipe. I do serve it with crumbled bacon, green onion and shredded cheese on the side if anyone wants to add these. This also makes for a pretty garnish on top of each bowl if you know everyone will like the 3 extras.

"Zuccotto" Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
This was really fun to make. A little time consuming but really worth the effort. We used macadamia nuts because our grocery didn't have the hazelnuts. The filling is awesome. We'll be serving this when we want to wow someone:) And like someone else has said we did end up having a lot of icing AND filling left over.
