Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Very good, but I left out the lettuce and olives because of personal preference. I tried this dip a few ways... one with scoops tortilla chips and also with fritos. I liked the fritos myself, but my husband liked it with tortilla chips. We also tried it cold and hot. Preferred it hot. This makes a pretty large dip. Will make again.

Spinach Cheese Ball

This went over really well at my Thanksgiving. I followed the recipe exactly, except i didn't put chopped nuts on the outside. We all couldnt stop eating this stuff! I like it best on wheat crackers.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Pretty good. I forgot to peal the yams, so that was not too good- but that was my mistake. Tasty with the orange in it. My thanksgiving company liked them.

Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Recipe states to fold in sour cream twice.... not sure why! Batter came out really thick. Muffins are fair- not the best. Cooked at 375 for 25 minutes. Also only added 1/4 t nutmeg and 1/4 t cinammon.

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I really liked this. Its very easy and I was surprised by how good the sauce was in the pot after cooking all day. I didn't have internet when the recipe needed to get started so I couldnt remember what to mix the three packets with, so I used beef broth. I served with mashed potatoes. This was a winner in my opinion.

Barb's Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
Okay, but not fabulous. The second day they were very dense and solid. I used 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice instead of nutmeg. The cook time was way off.... mine only needed about 20 minutes.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
Pretty good. I added one personal sized cup of pineapple tidbits to the sauce (with juice). Served over white rice. 11 year old daughter loved it! I thought it was better the second day as leftovers.

Very good. My hubby loved it! Made as written except I had a little less oil than it called for. Better the second day in my opinion.

Pretty bland... tastes like a biscuit not a bread. My family wouldn't eat them.

Happyhouse Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos!

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Believe it or not, I have never made chicken tacos at home. Only had them at a restaurant. They turned out great! I was worried about leaving it for 10 hours so I added extra broth, but now I see I didn't need to. Shreds really easy, and filled in my soft taco shells with tomato, onion, cheese and sour cream. mmmm...

Ranch Oven-Fried Chicken with Warm Corn Relish Recipe from Betty Crocker

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
Whole family gobbled this up. Only thing is I wish it was crispier. I baked on the cooling rack as suggested by Kerstin. I didn't make the corn salsa. I thought it was one of the better chicken dishes I have had.

Uglies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
These were really good. I had leftover beef and cheese, but that's ok. I tried rolling out the dough, but I found I liked doing it with my hands better. Per other reviewers I used the Sweet Baby Ray's Brown sugar sauce and thought it was a great choice.

Not my favorite. But pretty good. Downsized the portion to use half the potatoes.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
Didn't broil, bakes bone-in thighs for 45 min at 375. Turned out really well. Even the kiddo, whose become choosy, liked it. Garlic mellowed in the oven, don't be overwhelmed by the amount. I did add a touch of honey. mmmmm.... will make again!

Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
I give it 5 stars for the cookie. I give less stars to the directions because I have never used a mixer before for cookie dough, but it was a disaster. It got totally stuck in the beaters. Did not work at all. I ended up mixing by hand as I usually do with cookies. The dough tastes so good, I could have eaten all of it. The cookies are really good too. I baked mine at 300 for 18 minutes. Mine were bigger than 1 inch cause we like bigger cookies.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Very creamy. I made with a pound of macaroni and as recommended increased the butter to 1/2 cup and increased the cheddar a little because I had more pasta. I feel that the topping makes too much. I had double the size and it still made a huge amount even though I didn't double those ingredients. We liked it but I was touched when my husband said he likes my own recipe better. :)
