Shredded Beef for Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was a great recipe. Since its just me and my boyfriend, I used a 1.5 lb frozen roast, replaced the wine for 1 cup of warm broth, used regular tomato sauce but added 2 chipotle peppers (with a tbsp of the adobo sauce) to add a spicy flair. I also followed another review and added half a can of rotel tomatos and put real garlic into the broth. 5 hrs on HIGH and the meat was tender as ever! Oh just a FYI for first time users of the crockpot.. if you are going to put in a frozen block meat, please remember to put in a cup of warm liquid to act as a "cushion" since extreme temperature differences can shatter the ceramic bowl / cookware. Have fun :)

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
This dish was great, but like otheres suggest I didnt use as much butter. I used about 2 1/2 tbs and it came out good. Also I used crushed corn flakes and like one reviewer, I added about 3 tbs of flour to it so it can adhere to the chicken. easy and good, whats not to like??

Kimbop (Korean Sushi)

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
Its okay as long as you sorta tweak it cheese is popular with the korean teenagers but most kim bab is made without cheese. Also I always had kimbab with hotdogs, sliced lengthwise. Also, this is missing "dan-moo-gee" which is pickled radish, gives the kim bab a good tangy taste. but if you want to make it with cheese, here are some other "fusion" ingrediants to add: tuna, beef, kimchi, pork cutlet. and for vegetarians, you can make this without any meat, still tasty if you make it right

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
I scaled it down to 3 servings and it was enough for me and my boyfriends dinner that night, lunch the next day and a little in the freezer. It comes out to be a ton! for the broth, I substituted chicken broth for the bouillons, added 2 cloves minced garlic for the powder, dried minced onions for the powder and no salt. Also 2 chicken breasts is way enough. For 3 servings I only put 2/3 canned beans, 1 14oz diced tomato, 7 oz frozen corn, 1/2 of the salsa, and left out the soup, whole tomatos, and sour cream. Turned out great, and tastes better each time its reheated!

Chap Chee Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
If you want to cook Korean food, at least know what goes in it. You dont put bamboo shoots into chap chae. You dont put napa cabbage either. This recipe is also missing mushrooms. The authentic dish calls for dried mushrooms which are rehydrated in water prior to cooking. Oh and this is suppose to be made with pork, NOT beef. And for those reviews that say not to use cellophane noodles because of the bland taste, its NOT chapchae if its made with anything else! Similar to people saying that taco bell seasonings and such isnt mexican food, this is NOwhere close to korean food
