Bacon-Wrapped Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
One word. YUM! I saw these the other day on the 'exchange' here, and they taste great. The only different thing I did was added a little minced garlic [I have in a jar] with some salt and pepper. Wrapped it in foil and threw it on the grill. Nice.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
These are very good. I've made them for years, but never thought of them as a recipe. I just use an egg wash. One egg with a TBSP. of water or two. Brown them and lay them on a preheated cookie sheet to finish.

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I made this last night very good. I added a little Szechwan Chili Sauce to the meat when it was browned, [we like a little heat] I browned the meat first then started adding my veggies. I just threw them in, I didn't take them out and cook them one by one. I bought the pea pods, but I forgot to put them in. Well next time.

Sharyl's Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
This was great. We loved the spice's on the chicken. My husband and son both commented on how good the chicken was.It was a little sweet and spicy, Yum. I did do something alittle different [sorry] I drained the oil, used 1/4 c. of orange juice and 1/4 c. of chicken broth,[I keep a container of it in the fridge] scrapped the brown bits up. Put a can of low fat cream of mushroom soup in it. The only reason for that is because we had rice with it and my husband has to have gravy. I'll diffently make this again. Thanks.

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I've been making these for years, one of my husbands favorites. It's best with orange juice, but sometimes I don't have it, so I'll use half a capful of orange extract. If you use that, be careful because it is strong. :)

Pineapple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
We liked this, it was a nice change. I used regular mayo, bag of coleslaw mix, 8oz. can of crushed drained pineapple,[it's what I had on hand] didn't have horseradish, used dried cranberries, and put about 1/4c. of coconut in it. I'll make this again.

Broccoli in Roast Chicken Drippings

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I've had this recipe in my recipe box for a while. And I was making 'Salsa Chicken' from here and thought this would work perfectly; and it did. I cooked my broccoli a little first, then took my chicken out to rest, tossed the broccoli in the salsa chicken juices and put under the broiler for a few miniutes. Excellent, I'll make this again for sure.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
The taste of this is good. The skin just doesn't look good, that's why I shredded it. I had a feeling that would happen, so we just topped are mashed potatoes with it. Tomorrow a sandwich or casserole. :)

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
This is good. I did use a dry rub on the beef. Followed the directions, and it turned out very good. If my oldest daughter was eating over, I would have to cook it a little longer. I would make this again.

Roast Beef Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I used leftovers for this. With my beef, I sliced it and added chopped onion to it. When the onion was soft, I put my gravy in with the beef. I'm new to horseradish, so I used two heaping TBSP. in the gravy. I used tongs to get my beef out to put in the shells. I added a gravy packet, because I didn't have enough gravy, and just used a cheese blend I had. This is so good. I'll make this again.

Apple-Cinnamon Syrup

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
I'm a nut for cooked apples. I loved this. My husband isn't a big pancake fan, but I am, so I try to find different ways for pancakes, that I know I'll like, and hope my husband does. And he liked these. Yea! I doubled the sauce and used 4 apples. Added alittle freshly grated nutmeg, a pinch of salt, and a tsp. of vanilla. Thanks! for a different syrup. I have left overs, it'll go very well with some ice cream tonight. :)
