Eggplant Caviar

I found my first attempt with this recipe a little too salty--my fault for seasoning before tasting. I think when I make this again--and I will--I'll add 2 cloves of garlic, a little lemon juice, and cut down the salt. I found it to taste better cold. Not kiddy food, but the grownups will like it. Thanks, Ms. Mann.

Basic Cheesecake

I found that sifting the flour into the batter helped it blend more evenly. The second timeI doubled up on the vanilla, which resulted in a cake we preferred to the first attempt--if you like the vanilla flavour to be less subtle you may want to do the same. A dense, rich cake that wasn't too sweet. The crust recipe is particularly good!
