Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
I crushed the Oreos first in a food processor then added the cream cheese and processed until it came together like dough. I chilled it in the freezer for about 20 minutes, rolled out the balls and freezer them again for 30 minutes. Only dipped half a batch at a time since they defrost pretty fast. Overall it came out great for my first attempt!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
My family absolutely loved this recipe. It was the best lasagna we ever had. The only thing I did different from the original recipe was double the ricotta mixture. It's definitely a keeper!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

It turned out okay. Mine seemed a bit runny even after freezing it overnight and was overly sweet! Not sure if I will make again.

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Frosting was very good despite using it on a very dry cake. Will try I again on a chocolate cake. It pipes very well and makes more than enough to frost a 2 layer 9 inch round cake.

First batch from the oven were slightly burned on the bottom after 10 minutes. Baked the second batch for 9 minutes and they turned out much better. They are cake-like and very moist.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
My Italian husband was skeptical with this recipe since it did not contain basil and used stewed tomatoes and wine. Needless to say it was loved by everyone in the family and will be made again!

Ricotta Gnocchi

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
My husband said it was the best italian dish I have every made. I did have to use a considerable amout more of flour since the dough was so sticky. I did not drain the ricotta cheese since it was not in the directions but in the description. So it was overlooked. Will try that trick next time. The family wants me to make it monthly!

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2012
This frosting came out great and I got many compliments. You have to make sure you continue stirring on low heat or you will find bits of cooked eggs in your frosting. I used the one bowl chocolate cake recipe also found on allrecipes. Thanks for the recipe!

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
I had this one in my recipe box for two years and finally got a chance to make it and I am glad I did. I had to add more water while the mixture was simmering since the rice was not fully cooked and there was very little liquid left. I also used a can of chopped tomatoes with jalapenos for an extra kick. Not sure if I liked the brown sugar in it but the family thought it was delicious.
