About Me
I am a person who works in retail, but my love is baking. Whenever I read about or see a fantastic dessert I get happy. I long to learn as much as I can and one day be able to just whip something up on my own. I also like sharing with my family and friends and when they smile or make happy noises as they eat it makes me complete.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies when I have alot of time. I also love the feel of baking my own fresh breads and cakes. I love the smells that fill the air and when someone comes in from outside and remarks on the scent.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother did the italian feasts. But other than her there have been no family cooking traditions. I do hope that one day they can at least start with me.
My cooking triumphs
Finally made the perfect buttercream frosting after twenty years. i jumped up and down. I have also gotten to have alot of victories with making breads and cookies to die for. Cream puffs that brought everyone joy.
My cooking tragedies
Again bread, sometimes does not rise. Too chilly in my house. Also a pumpkin cheesecake with lumps, darnit. Mostly bread, hockey puck hard.
