Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
I love chicken marsala and can't believe how quick and easy it was to make. Only thing I did different was add a few tablespoons of cream at the end and used a splash of slurry (cornstarch and water)to tighten it up to top my pasta. Deliciousness!

Maple-Mustard Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
Wasn't paying close attention and mixed all ingredients including syrup together at once and marinated 30 minutes before I realized it. Broiled about 4 min per side then put chops and sauce in baking dish covered in foil and baked 350 for 30 minutes. It was excellent! I also used smoked paprika for a little heat. Spicy and sweet is my favorite and I will up this sauce for many other things.

White Chili II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Wow, this is good stuff! It was a lot of chopping, but worth it. I made a double batch for my super bowl party, only used 4 jalapenos, 1 each red, yellow & green bell pepper. Was out of flour so i used cornstarch and chicken broth added to boiling chicken broth and butter to thicken. I also added 1/2 packet chichis taco seasoning for a little extra flavor.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I have made potato soup a dozen different ways and this is by far the bestest ever. Didn't have any celery so it was omitted. I used a couple green onions and added 2 sliced carrots. Used frozen dough to make bread bowls to serve. It was super. Very quick and easy also. Thanks!

Apple Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
I needed something to bring to a mexican food themed party and had a big bag of cinnamon apples a friend made that I wanted to use, so when I came across this recipe, I thought "PERFECT!" It was simple and absolutely delicious! Just like apple dumplings without all the work, mess and time. Could have used a little less butter & would have been just as good. MMM MMM MMM! Everyone loved them!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
I am asked to make this for all get togethers. It is very easy and quick to throw together. You can even make it a day ahead, although I wait till just before serving to add cheese so it doesn't get soggy. I don't add the salsa, olives or green pepper (due to personal taste) and only use 1 big tomato and half a bag of pre-shredded lettuce. Love it!

A nice change of pace. Very simple and I loved the sauce. I think I am going to try it with crab meat and make smaller puffs for appetizers at my next card party. Thanks for sharing it.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

I made it exactly as written it was so easy and cheap, cost me $15 to make a double batch. I made it again and added a 16 oz. can cream of chicken soup and used a can of black beans and a can of white beans. It was excellent both ways. Really good served with corn bread.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Really very good, but save this one for a Sunday when you plan on cooking all afternoon. It is time consuming, although as my boyfriend exclaimed, "worth the wait!" I thought so too, but this recipe could be made quite a bit faster with a few adjustments. I have made this several times and now throw the chicken in my pressure cooker for about 15 minutes then add onion/celery/seasoning and cook about 20 min. Then add potatoes/carrots and cook 30 min. Then do dumplings.

Peanut Blossoms II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
The perfect peanut butter cookie dough. I made half the batch but added a few extra Tbs. peanut butter. I did some with the traditional criss-cross pattern and the others I chopped some white and chocolate almond bark into small chunks and used in place of kisses. Great!
