Apple Snicker Salad

Can also use vanilla pudding. If you want it to look pretty, drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with a few peanuts.

Southern Fried Chicken Gizzards

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
I can't believe the difference when boiled first! And the broth gizzards created is delicious! Who knew?!? I did not do anything like this recipe said when it came to batter as I just did my own thing but I will boil first every time. I just put th on to simmering the morning and after I strained them put them in the fridge until I was ready to batter and fry.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
This turkey is amazing. It looks gorgeous and tastes like gourmet turkey if there is such a thing;) This Thanksgiving was the second time I made this turkey but last year I used water instead of wine. The wine is the secret ingredient to the "perfect"! The carrots that were in the wine didn't even make it to the table as they were picked over by the family before I could get them in the bowl. That says a lot as cooked carrots aren't usually battled over! I turned the sauce into a thickened the turkey/wine broth by adding a 1/2 cup of chicken broth with a bit of cornstarch. What a sauce! I will never use another turkey recipe again. By the way, I froze the leftover sauce and dumped it into my chicken and noodles that I made in mid December. My family raved over those also. I followed this recipe exactly this time and will do so from now on except I will put all the carrots in the bottom of the pan so they can cook in the wine. Enjoy!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2013
I loved this on cold winter nights in front of the fireplace! It always makes the room smell good. I didn't use the cardamom because I didn't have any and I also must confess that I made it without the instant tea because I like to add it to fresh hot tea. I will make several cups of tea in the coffee pot and then add the mix to each cup.

Deb's Spicy Beef Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
We really enjoyed this recipe although I don't think it would taste very good with only 1 tsp of curry paste. I did marinate the meat in red curry paste and minced garlic for 24 hours. We added our own assortment of veggies(peppers, onion, scallions, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and baby corn) and added 2 tbls of curry paste instead of 1 tsp. We made the sauce as directed except for the extra curry paste. We loved the sauce and I think anything would be good in this sauce. Love the way the cilantro adds flavor to the dish. Was very nervous to add it but so glad I tried it as it was fabulous. My children loved it also.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2013
We love fish tacos but they are REALLY REALLY good when put in a crispy corn taco shell! An alternative to frying fish is to chop it into chunks and sprinkle with salt, cumin, and a bit of butter, toss and bake it on a cookie sheet at 400 until done. About 10 minutes or so.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
I always make 50 servings and keep it in a pretty jar on my counter. I like to add sugar, cornstarch, and beef bouillon powder to this. I do not put in the salt so I can turn up the seasoning without making my recipe too salty.
