Pecan Pie Bars II

These are good, very rich. More like a blonde brownie with pecans on top rather than a pecan pie. My daughter loves pecan pie and these were a big hit for here. I put one Tablespoon of vanilla instead of 1 teaspoon and added my secret pecan pie ingredient...1 Tablespoon of bourbon!

Wild Rice Stuffing for Turkey

I had high hopes. I love a good stuffing but this one just was NOT it. The wild rice just was too crunchy and stuffing was not meant to be crunchy.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

This was awesome! I added chopped onions and celery to the bottom of the crockpot. I cooked on high for an hour and then on low for about 4.5. It was perfect! Everyone in my house ate seconds...and that is rare!! I will now make turkey more than once a year!

Savory Deviled Eggs

These were GREAT! Got lots of compliments. I made two additions though...finely chopped bread and butter pickles mixed in the yolk mixture and paprika on top. "EGG"cellent!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Fabulous. They are hard to twist into pretzel shapes so we just made sticks. Great served warm with some parmesan cheese!!

Amish White Bread

AWESOME!! My kids loved it. I took the advice of some others and reduced the sugar a bit. I used 1/2 cup. I also made this with 3 cups wheat flour and three cups white bread flour...it was great too!

Cadillac Pimento Cheese

Really, really, really liked the flavor, but bought shredded velveeta for my cheese and I HATED the texture of it. It GROSSED me out completely. I love extra sharp cheddar cheese so next time I will just use that in place of the processed cheese in this recipe. I think it will make it much better.
