Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I thought these cookies were fab! They aren't my favorite- my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe is the "Best, Big, Fat, Chewy" one, but these are a nice change. I found they are much better warm, and don't keep very well. I used to Nestle semi-sweet chocolate/white chocolate swirl chips.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
Yay! It's important to know that I don't usually like homemade brownies...first of all, brownies aren't my favorite dessert anyway, but I just prefer boxed for some reason. These. Are. The. BEST! Hands down. I didn't have semi-sweet chocolate chips, so I just left them plain. I can see where they would make them taste amazing, though. I added a milk chocolate frosting from the can, and they are fabulous! Would be great under vanilla ice cream!

Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I'm still giving this 5 stars, even though I had to modify it a little! Instead of cheddar cheese I used monterey jack. I left out the hot sauce. I added garlic powder and seasoning salt. I also halved the recipe. It was fabulous! It was served with parmesan garlic crackers. Went great with our Asian themed dinner!

Grandma's Doughnuts

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Fantastic! These were so much fun to make! They did sort of taste like a biscuit...but not in a bad way! Our favorites were the ones we left whole and filled with cheesecake pudding, then were rolled in cinnamon sugar!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
I didn't know what to expect when I made these! There seems to be very strong reviews for both sides. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I LOVE these! I used strawberry cake mix and not quite a whole tub of cream cheese frosting. Then I used both chocolate almond bark and white. They are both so yummy!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Ok. That's all this icing was. It was ok. I didn't think it had an amazing flavor. I would only use it again for cut out cookies that I wanted to look nice, but not taste amazing. I had to play around with the consistency, too, because using the recipe exactly did not work for me at all. It wasn't horrible, just, I would've liked it to taste better.

Berry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
These are quite tasty! I used mixed berries - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. I think if I made these again, I would use 1/2 c white sugar and 1/2 c brown sugar in the crumb base and topping. I think peaches would taste amazing in this. Another great thing is that it's super easy, and I think it literally took me 5 minutes to whip together and throw in the oven. Great for a busy day!

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
Before I begin my review, I'm basing this on what others have said since I did not taste these! Everyone LOVED them, but everyone said they needed a more cinnamon flavor. That may have something to do with the fact I ran out of cinnamon and used Pumpkin Pie Spice? Besides that, I took them to my class I teach at church [12/13 year old girls] and received a couple of "I love yous." They did come out beautiful, so in appearance alone I give 5 stars, but all together I'm giving them a 4!

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
OH. MY. GOSH. First of all, peanut butter is my weakness. I love anything peanut butter...accept peanut butter cookies. For some reason, they're just not my fav. Usually. The only way I'll eat them is with a Reese's cup in the middle. So, of course, I did that with these. But, I found myself enjoying the cookie more than the Reese's cup! IT'S AMAZING. First off, I didn't use shortening, I used all butter. I also didn't flatten with a fork, I just left them in balls. I cooked them for 8 minutes. As soon as I took them out of the oven I stuck a Reese's cup in the middle and pressed it down as far as it would go. Then I waited about a minute and went back and swirled the melted chocolate around to make it more smooth. They were gone in 24 hours! And this makes a LOT of cookies. I think I counted 37. Amazing!

Fudgy Brownies I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
These brownies were okay. I actually prefer just the boxed mixes to these. I added semi-sweet chocolate chips to them. I guess they just weren't sweet enough for me. It's just my personal preference I suppose. To be fair, I only tasted a little piece of them. My family devoured them in a few days, though. I probably won't take the time to make again.

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
These muffins are sensational. They are so simple to make, too. Very few ingredients! I did change just a little bit, but it was mainly for preference, nothing extravagant. I did 1-1/2 c. of all-purpose flour and then 1/2 c. of whole wheat flour. I used butter instead of margarine. I did add a streusel topping. Flour, white sugar, and butter. I filled up the muffin cups to the top and they came out big and tasty! It made 11 muffins when I did that. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture, they were gone within 10 minutes!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
These cookies are AMAZING. They may seem like a lot of work, but they really aren't. I made my dough early in the morning and let it set in the fridge all day. [About 10 hours.] This is a MUST!! You can use the base for any type of items you want. I put semi-sweet chocolate chips, toffee bits, and caramel bits. Delicious! The first few I used the 1/4 measuring cup to scoop the dough, but I could only fit about 4 on a cookie sheet, so I just used a giant spoon for the rest. They turned out perfect! Watch them in the oven and don't cook too long! They will set up on the cookie sheet. After about 5-10 minutes you should transfer them to a cooling rack. LOVED them!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I made these the other morning- and man, are they great! I also took the advice of others and added some vanilla extract. It was actually my first time making pancakes...and some of them didn't turn out so pretty, but they tasted awesome!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
This cake was pretty good. I've had better chocolate cakes. I chose this recipe because of the easiness of the recipe. I took most of it to work and I got marriage proposals! They loved it there.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
I thought these were great! I also used half Splenda and half Splenda brown sugar blend. They are so yummy and smell so good when baking! Mine didn't turn out very pretty. I think I smashed them too much!

Mrs. Fields Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
I really loved this recipe! I thought my cookies came out perfect. I made my own frosting. It was really sweet [a little tangy] so it balanced out great with the cookie. I didn't roll mine out, I just rolled them in a ball then flattened with a plastic lid. They were great!
